O you who wrongfully attacked, come forward,
I'll stab you with a sharp and strong spear.
What brave man in war fears death,
When it is served to those who drink it, so serve it to me and I will drink.
Below it are palm trees dripping
Fresh blood from within their trunks.
With it are quenched those who are undaunted when their cup is passed around,
When it is served by those who are stepping towards death.
A brother of deluges whose courage is not shaken
When death meets death fully armed and zealous.
He takes part in war wielding swords and sees
No escape from death for those who do not take part.
The sleeping ambitions of Maazin were awakened by his deeds
He was born to noble mothers so he begot noble deeds.
