أقولُ وقد بُزَّت بِتِعشارَ بَزَّةً

لوَردانَ جِدَّ الآن فيها أَوِ العَبِ

I say, as Tishtar was adorned with armor

As if roses were planted there now, or games were played

فَعَضَّ الذي أبقى المواسي من امِّهِ

خَفِيرٌ رآها لم يُشَمِّر ويَغضَبِ

The one who let the joys remain from his mother

Is angry when he sees her, he does not hesitate or get upset

إذا نزَلَت وَسطَ الرِّبابِ وَحَولَها

إذا حُصِّنَت أَلفَا سِنَانٍ مُحَرَّبِ

When she descends amidst the tent and around her

A thousand spears surround her when fortified

حَميتَ خُزاعِيّاً وأفناءَ مَازِنٍ

وَوردانُ يَحمِي عن عَدِيِّ بن جُندَبِ

You protected the Khuza'a and the plains of Mazin

While roses protect against Adiyy ibn Jundab

سَتَعرِفُها وِلدَانُ ضَبَّة كُلِّهَا

بأعيانِها مَردُودةً لَم تَغَيَّبِ

The young men of Dhibba will recognize her, all of them

By their chiefs, returned, not absent
