ثلاثٌ تزيدُ الوجهَ نوراً ونضرةً

فواحدةٌ تكفي الفتى وهي فالحهْ

Three things increase the face in light and freshness;

Even one suffices for the young man—and it is a fruit, a delight:

طعامٌ زكيٌّ مع صلاة تطوِّعٍ

وحُسْنُ حيَاءِ فهي للوجه صالحهْ

wholesome food, together with voluntary prayer,

and the grace of his modesty; these are beneficial to the face.
