O wise one who wished for marriage
From relatives or strangers
You must not utter a word or hasten
To propose to a guardian
Before you look at whoever you want from them
Then drop the talk of the ignorant
And follow the saying of a clear-speaking trusted one
Of affection, and leave the talk of the foolish
Get up, take initiative, look, ask, and be insightful
At whoever you want behind the curtains
And investigate their nature, feel it out
And observe the complexion and limbs
And conceal the secret from all the creation
Whether it's a man you meet or a woman
For they may prevent you from them or prevent
Whoever's heart you want without contention
So when you're pleased with the beauty and nature
And love flows into your guts
Then do not look for anything unlawful from her
And fear God, the Eternal, the Everlasting
So take a loving, beloved companion
Who cares for the mothers and fathers
And who is acceptable
To the guardians and peers
So if the heart turns away from her
Do not frown, for good is in parting
And if there is no affection or hatred
This you will see after meeting
And if you have beauty, wealth
Youth, vigor, status, and nobility
Generosity, pride, luxury
And wealth, then propose to the wealthy
Do not care about money, spend, do not be stingy
And choose the best of women
Of beauty, radiance, and evident charm
Dazzling to all, composed
So your heart may be comfortable
Rested from grief and misery
And the eyes may be content
With the beauty of their nights and names
And if you are poor, my son
Without wealth, then propose to your peers
And if you are old and poor
Then an old man turns away without contention
And if you are old but wealthy
Then ambitious women desire wealth
Absolutely do not marry a divorcee
Who is severely shameless in him
And one who accepts gifts is blameworthy
From anyone other than her husband without restraint
And one who has removed the veil from her head
And does not cover with the gown of modesty
And one who is always eating all day
Never ceasing to indulge
And one who does not thank Allah
For the blessings she possesses
And one who has young and grown children
Who come at supper time
And one who lives in the cold regions
And in the heat on the side of the desert
And one who inhabits the ramshackle huts in summer
While her family are strangers
They spend their lives eating through her
So turn away from her, do not be fooled by her equal
And beware of one who divides, do not delay
Absolutely anything of things
For people to say she is generous
And flatterers like the talk of pretense
And those who take in every house
Every time without shyness
And one who does not care for the needs of the house
And frequents the homes of relatives
And likewise the fool, do not approach her
For you will see crookedness in the fool
And one who constantly sleeps
Who did not awake in her morning or evening
And those who say every morning
Bring whatever you crave without delay
And beware the old woman, do not approach her
For she is disease itself and the cure
So when you say who will inform me
Of all this which tires me
I say rely and consult and roll up your sleeves
And you will find it among the slave girls
And you must consult a learned scholar
Knowledgeable of circumstances and opinions
Of insight, wisdom, experience
Discernment, astuteness and shrewdness
And secretly from man obscurely
Do not make anyone alive aware
For I fear the secrets will reach those
Who spread the secrets to strangers
And they will prevent you out of jealousy
And prevent whoever you seek without contention
Do not wait an hour when you agree
And marry, safe from crookedness
This kind of haste is good in it
So listen to me, it is better than delay
For perhaps if you delay, an opinion arises
From the relatives or friends
For the hearts of people are turned by opinions
One time like feathers in air
And when you gain control, hasten to a discreet wedding
Wary of the schemes of enemies
Perhaps the strugglers among them will succeed
And hearts will be prevented from contention
Absolutely do not marry without consulting
The close relatives and friends
No, and do not send anyone except a generous
Loving, wise, and pure soul
And if you send a foolish messenger
You will be among the people like the foolish
And if you gain a woman of
Beauty, conduct and goodness
Do not marry decisively upon her or
Look at any but her, O you of piety and loyalty
I do not prohibit all people from collecting
Two harms in one shelter
Like some who do not equate the two with him
At most a street wife
And some of them, if they collect two
Remain in blindness and dimness
And some without toil
Four, all equal
But the husband, if he exceeds the limit
They fall into dispute, his wives, and misery
And his excess is to prefer some
In house, food, and gifts
He seeks justice from him, and justice is difficult
Indeed, justice is the trait of the pious
And I advise men with gentleness, softness
Generosity, dew for women
Joy, caring, utmost kindness
Seriously in hardship and luxury
And substantial gifts without stinginess
So hearts soften with giving
And I advise women with obedience
Always morning and evening
So beware of anything distasteful
In case it harms the maiden
And if you want a wedding, then take initiative
And wash, then bathe with water
And anoint yourself with all perfumes and incense
And fumigate with aloeswood or ambergris
And if there is foul breath
From mouth or nose from illnesses
Then chew ginger after cardamom
And its brother cloves, buy them
This is if you are a wealthy man
These traits are not for the poor
This is my advice, so you have heard it
Do not meet it, my brother, with ridicule
And if you do not take it and what I said
Then you are drowning in the dark
While I am the honest adviser, and whoever deceives
His brother, his dignity is in pardoning
Then may God pray as long as the wind blows
Upon the Chosen One, the honorable, the innocent
