لك منزلٌ في القلب لا يتغيرُ

وصفاءُ وُدٍّ قط لا يتكدرُ

You have a place in my heart that never changes

And a sincerity of affection that is never troubled

ومودةٌ منا تقادمَ عهدُها

وودادُ صدق باللقاءِ يفسرُ

And an affection from me whose covenant has endured

And a true friendship that is explained through meetings

ما جئتُ أطلبُ منك يوماً حاجة

أبداً وظنِّي أنها تتعسّرُ

I have never asked anything from you

Never, and I thought it would be difficult

إن كنتُ قد قارفْتُ ذنباً غافلا

في كسْبه أنا تائبٌ مستغفرُ

If I was unaware and committed a sin

I am repentant and seeking forgiveness

أو كنتَ أنتَ سمعتَ مِنى غيرَ مَا

تَهْواه من طَبْعى أنَا مُتَعذِّرُ

Or if you heard from me other than

What your nature desires, I apologize

حاشاكَ أن تجفو محبّاً مخلصاً

لك وُدّه أبداً ولا يتغيرُ

It is unthinkable that you would spurn a sincere lover

Whose affection for you never changes

عَهدِى بقلبك لِي ودادٌ باطنٌ

لكن بحسن خلائقٍ لك يظهرُ

My covenant with your heart is an inner affection

Yet outwardly shows good manners

وإذا أتيتُك قبلَ ذا في حاجةٍ

لا يعتريك تلكؤٌ وتعسرُ

And if I come to you before this in need

You are not hesitant or difficult

واليومَ لا أدرى لأيةِ علةٍ

مودودُنا عن حاجتى تَسْتنفرُ

And today I do not know for what reason

Our affection for my need is alarmed

أنا مُذْ عرفتُك ما تكدَّر خاطرى

أبدا وقد مرت سنونَ وأعصرُ

Since I knew you, my heart has never been troubled

Years have passed and many more

أنا لستُ أنسى ما حييتُ وِدادَكم

لو مر ألفٌ في السنينَ وأكثرُ

I shall not forget your affection as long as I live

Even if a thousand years pass or more

أنا حافظٌ ودى لأهل مودَّتِى

مترفقٌ لو بدلُوا أو غيرُوا

I keep my affection for people dear to me

Kind even if they change or alter

أنا لا أجازِى بالجفاءِ أحبتى

لو أنهم بعد الصفاءِ تنمّرُوا

I do not repay my loved ones with coldness

Even if after purity they rebel

وإذا أتى مستغفراً من ذنبه

خِلٌّ غفرتُ له ولا أتكبّرُ

And if one comes seeking forgiveness for his sin

O intimate, I forgive him and do not become arrogant

يرث الممالك والمفاخر والعلا

سيفُ بن سلطان الإمامُ الأطهرُ

The heir of kingdoms, pride and highness

Is the sword of Sultan, the Imam Al-Athar

يَعفُو عن الذنبِ العظيم تكرماً

وتجاوزاً وهو الحليم الأقدرُ

He forgives great sins generously

And forbearance, and he is the Forbearing, the Capable

دمْ إمامَ المسلمين موفَّقاً

في كلِّ أمر صالحٍ لا يعسرُ

May the blood of the Imam of the Muslims be successful

In every good matter that is not difficult

ما غردتْ ورْقاءُ أو هبت صَباً

بين الغصون وما هَمَى مُسْحَنْفِرُ

Neither has Waraqa twittered nor has morning breeze blown

Among the branches nor has dove Mooshanfar
