1. يا حبَّذَا بستانُ قيس الكاملُ

    وضياؤُه وظلاله المتكاملُ

    O what a wonderful garden is that of Qais the perfect,

    With its radiance and integrated shades,

  2. فيهِ الفواكهُ والأطايبُ والرغا

    ئب والغرائبُ والنعيمُ الحاصلُ

    In it are fruits, perfumes, meadows and wonders,

    Abundant bounties and attained bliss.

  3. هو بهجةٌ للناظرينَ وفرحةٌ

    وبه التهاني والسرورُ الشاملُ

    It brings joy to beholders and happiness,

    With it are greetings and all-encompassing delight,

  4. فالنخلُ والأشجارُ تجرى تحتها

    الأنهارُ مِن أرجائها وجداولُ

    Palm trees and trees underneath which rivers flow

    From its corners into streams and conduits,

  5. فكأنها جناتُ عدنٍ منزلاً

    نعمَ النزولُ به ونعم النازِلُ

    As if they were Gardens of Eden for lodging,

    What a good descent and what a good lodger!

  6. لا عيبَ في مرآه إلا أنَّه

    ينسى أحبَّتَه النزيلُ الداخلُ

    No fault in its pool except that

    The incoming resident forgets his loved ones.

  7. كلّتْ لسانُ فصاحتي عن وصفه

    لوْ كُنت ذَا فَهْمِ كأني باقلُ

    My tongue falters to describe it

    If I were wise I would be silent.

  8. أعداهُ حسناً وابتهاجاً ربّه

    الملكُ الإمامُ اليعربيُّ العادِلُ

    Its beauty and joy were bestowed by its Lord,

    The King, the Just Imam, the upright Arab.

  9. هو ذُو العلى سلطانُ سيف المنتَضى

    حامى رعيته القؤولُ الفاعلُ

    He is the Lofty, Sultan of the drawn sword,

    Protector of his subjects, the doer and the potentate.

  10. أهلُ الجدى بحرُ الندى نجمُ الهدى

    حتفُ العدى العَضْبُ الحسامُ الفَاصِلُ

    The people of nobility, the sea of brilliance, star of guidance,

    Destiny's sword, the cleaving blade, the decisive.

  11. ملكٌ إذا جادتْ يداهُ لسائلٍ

    شَهِدَ الجهولُ بفضلهِ والعاقلُ

    A King, when his hands give to a beseecher,

    The ignorant and the wise attest to his merit.

  12. لا خابَ من يرجوك يا ابنَ أفاضلٍ

    في حاجةٍ لكن يخيبُ العاذلُ

    None who hope in you are disappointed O son of the virtuous,

    Except those who complain and blame.

  13. دامت سلامتنا ودامَ سرورنا

    بدَاومِه فهو الجوادُ الفاضلُ

    May our wellbeing and joy last

    With his constant generosity for he is the noble and generous.
