I have lied to you, so promise me and justify me

To the land and the people like tamed apes

For I am an unrewarded guide

To bounties that graze the land and hillsides

By the life of her who brought you from Shaffalah

At the forgotten place of abundant hair and stripped garments

The howls of my hungry one were like

Songs of a drunkard drinking in Yathrib

I will make you Muslim until you submit to me

And I will give you nothing but crucifying stones

They have confusion and the blacks are between me and them

My hands against you and the charging, mobilized ones

When one of you turns away from prayer

He bends his other leg over me and becomes crippled
