I praised my God after hardship when I was saved

Some scratches and some evil is easier than other evil

By Allah, I will not forget a slain man whom I mocked

Beside my bow as long as I walked upon the earth

Yes, rancors do fade, but we are tasked with the lesser

Though time may pass and much goes by

I did not know who I cast my robe upon

But he was one noble and pure

He was not one with a heart melted, lost

Who wasted youth in vanity and humbleness

But he was one who was torn by calamities

As one firm, honest in purpose

As if they clung to a bird

Of delicate frame, its bones without bulk

It hastens at night's approach so it is a departer

    Flapping wings opening and closing
