Your worries kept you awake, sleep was disrupted
And I feared that exuberant youth had vanished
And your heart was tempted by passion in secrecy
Your passion overpowered you, and your friends enabled it
So stop persisting in misguidance while aware
You used to seek misguidance enthusiastically
It would befit you to refrain willingly
Or wake up when the guide admonishes you
And I was threatened by Hamza's loss with great sorrow
That made my insides tremble continuously
And if Hiraa had lost one like him
You would have seen its rocks fragmenting
An obstinate one established in Hashim's sanctuary
Where prophethood, bounty, and goodness originate
The barren mountain when winds blow
Becomes so cold water nearly freezes
The one who leaves his arched bow on days of war
While the enemy approaches with purpose
You see him clad in iron armor as if
He is solid with firm joints and a strong frame
The Prophet's uncle, his chosen one
Who restored purity to that watering place
And met his death while defending the Prophet
Among martyrs who supported him dutifully
I wish the enemies who were given tidings with his death
Would die feeling an unquenched bitterness
Due to how we routed them with spears
On a day when good fortune deserted them
At Badr's well when Gabriel
Turned back their faces under our banner and Muhammad
Until I saw their heads before the Prophet
As two halves we kill and repel at will
Seventy chiefs of them remained in the valley
Including Utbah and Al-Aswad
And we dealt Ibn Mughirah a fatal strike
With spraying blood from his neck's vein
And Uyyah Al-Jumahi steadied his stance
With a sword gripped by the faithful forcefully
So their defeated king came to you as if they were
Ostriches scattered by horses speedily
Vast is the difference between one who in Hell resides forever
And one who in Gardens is eternally blissful
