أَلا أَيُّها السّائِلي عَنْ عَشِرَتي

هَلُمَّ إلى أَهْلِ المكارمِ والفَخْرِ

O you who ask about my people,

Come to the people of generosity and pride.

أنا ابنُ مُبَاري الرّيحِ عمرو بنِ عامرٍ

نَمَوْتُ إلى قحطانَ في سَالِفِ الدّهْرِ

I am the son of the fast wind's rider, Amr ibn Amer,

I grew to Qahtan in ancient times.

نَصَرْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إذْ حَلَّ وسْطَنَا

بِبيضِ اليَمَاني والمثقَّفَةِ السُّمرِ

We supported the Messenger of God when he stayed among us

With the swords of Al-Yamani and Al-Muthaqqafa the brown.
