أَقولُ لِلصَحبِ في البَيضاءِ دونَكُم
مَحَلَّةً سَوَّدَت بَيضاءَ أَقطاري
I say to my friends, without you in Al-Bayda
A district that has blackened the whiteness of my lands
مَأَوى الفَتوَةِ لِلأَنذالِ مُذ خُلِقَت
عِندَ الكِرامِ مَحَلُّ الذُلُّ وَالعارِ
The abode of chivalry for the lowly since created
With the noble, it is the abode of disgrace and shame
كَأَنَّ ساكِنَها مِن قَعرِها أَبَداً
لَدى الخُروجِ كَمُنتاشٍ مِنَ النارِ
As if its inhabitants from its depths forever
Upon leaving, like one rescued from fire
