1. ريح الصبا ان جزتَ بالاحياء

    حيّي الربا ومعالم الشهباءِ

    The morning breeze, if you pass through the neighborhoods

    Greet the open spaces and the landmarks of youth

  2. بلّغ الى الأوطان منا انعماً

    محفوفةً بسواطع اللألاءِ

    Convey our blessings to the homelands

    Enveloped in the bright moons

  3. وقل السلام عليكِ من صبٍ الى

    لقياكِ عاد ممزق الأحشاءِ

    And say peace be upon you from a loving one who

    Returned to you, torn inside

  4. يصبو اليك من صباه لما بكِ

    من حسن خلان وصدق اخاءِ

    He pours his youthful love to you

    For your beautiful features and true companionship

  5. فعمي صباحاً يا ديارَ احبتي

    واخضلّي بالرند والانداءِ

    So good morning, oh home I love

    And be adorned with joy and singing

  6. دار السلامة والكرامة والهنا

    دار الرضى والسلم والارعاء

    Home of safety, generosity and bliss

    Home of contentment, peace and tranquility

  7. دار تكلُّ اللسنُ عن اوصافها

    ويعود افصحها كما الفافاءِ

    A home whose attributes exhaust language

    And the most eloquent stammers to describe

  8. ماذا اقول اذا وصفت صفاتها

    وباي موضوع اجيد ثناءي

    What can I say when describing its qualities?

    With what theme can I excel in praising it?

  9. هل ابدا من حسن المناخ وأرضها

    وقراها مع لطف الهوا والماءِ

    Shall I start with the beauty of its climate and land?

    And its villages alongside the gentle air and water?

  10. أو يكفي وصفي في جمال رياضها

    وغياضها وحياضها الحسناءِ

    Or is it enough to describe its beautiful gardens

    And its glades and fine meadows?

  11. أو عن فواكهها وحسن ثمارها

    ولذيذ مطعمها وطيب حساءِ

    Or about its fruits and fine crops

    And delicious flavors and tasty broth?

  12. أو حسن زخرفة القصور وما بها

    من منزلٍ سامٍ وزهو بناءِ

    Or the beauty of decorating palaces and what’s in them

    Of sublime dwellings and splendid architecture?

  13. أو عن جليل صنائعٍ وبضائعٍ

    تأتي وتمضي من مدى الدنياءِ

    Or the great crafts and goods that come and go

    From the far reaches of the world?

  14. أو عن عزيز مكاسبٍ ومواهبٍ

    ومتاجرٍ باهت بفرط غناءِ

    Or the precious profits, talents and thriving trade

    Dazzling in its excessive riches?

  15. أو ذا اعدّد في محاسنها التي

    فاقت محاسن سائر الانحاءِ

    If I were to count its beauties that

    Surpassed the beauties of all other places

  16. وغدت فريدة عصرها وزمانها

    ممدوحة القرباءِ والبعداء

    And became unique in its time and era

    Praised by kin and strangers alike

  17. لكنَّ وا أسفاه لم تبقَ على

    ذاك الهنا والعزّ والارخاء

    But alas it did not remain

    In that prosperity, honor and comfort

  18. وتشتَّت أبناؤها وترددت

    في كل ناحيةٍ وقطرٍ ناءِ

    Its people dispersed and wandered

    To every region and land crying

  19. وغداً يسود بها العدو المعتدي

    ويكيد ابناها بكل اذاء

    And tomorrow the aggressor enemy prevails

    And harms its children in every way

  20. أَترى يعود الله يجمع شملنا

    بالاهل والخلاَّن والابناء

    Do you think God will gather us again

    With family, friends and children?

  21. وتقرُّ عيني باللقا ويطيب قلبي

    بالوصال وترتوي اعضاءِي

    And my eyes will delight in meeting them and my heart eased

    By reunion and my limbs hydrated

  22. واقول هذه منيتي فبلغتُها

    واجيد شكراً للعلي مولاءِي

    And I will say this is my wish, I have conveyed it

    And excellently thank my Supreme Master

  23. يا ربِّ وفق لي الرجوع لأرضها

    يا رب سهّل اوبة المتناءِي

    Oh Lord, enable me to return to its land

    Oh Lord, ease the yearning of the longing one

  24. لنعود عن قرب الى اوطاننا

    بشفاعة البكر آمك العذراءِ

    To soon come back to our homelands

    With intercession from the Virgin Mary
