انْظُرْ له تَمَّتْ مغاني حُسْنِهِ

مُتَعَبَّداً للّه مُذْكِرَ عَدْنِه

Look, his perfect graces are completed

Devoted to God, remembering His Eden

سَطَعَتْ محاسنُه سَناً فكأنّما

شمسُ الضُّحَى بَزَغَتْ لما من رُدْنِه

His beautiful qualities shone so it was as if

The morning sun rose when it leaned from its cradle

وتبيَّنَتْ في وجهه وردائه

إنّ السّعادةَ رَشْفةٌ من مُزْنِه

And happiness appeared clearly in his face and gown

Indeed, happiness is a sip from his cup

قَرَّت بطلعته عيونُ أُولي التّقى

واستبشرت بمنائحٍ من يُمْنِه

With his rise, the eyes of the pious rejoiced

And cheered with good tidings from his blessings

لا غَرْوَ إذْ قُطب المعارف والهدى

ساقي مُهَيِّمِهِ وراقي حُزْنِه

No wonder, the pole of knowledge and guidance

Is his cupbearer and reliever of sadness

الشاذلي وما أبو حسن ومن

عزت عن الإفصاح عزة شأنه

Al Shadhili, and Abu Hassan is not

The nobility of his status hindered expressing his nobility

يا رُبَّ غَاوٍ قد هدى ولَكَمْ فَتىً

عَانى الهوى فافتكَّه من سِجنه

O Lord of the misguided who has now guided and how many a lad

Suffered passion but He saved him from his prison

ولكنْ وَلِيٍّ نَالَ وزن ولايةٍ

والشّاذليُّ به استقامةُ وزنهِ

But the Guardian attained the rank of guardianship

And through him the balance of Al Shadhili was corrected

شيخ الطّريقهِ في بنيه مُرَبّياً

فكفاه عن شرح الطريق ومتنه

The sheikh of the path raises his sons

So sufficed him from explaining the path and its principles

وأبان في أحزابه نوراً لمن

وقع القّذَى في قلبه أو جفنه

And clarified in his parties a light for those

In whose hearts or eyes a speck has fallen

لا سيّما الحزبُ الكبير وما حوى

من سِرٍّ انْزَلَهُ الإله بإذنه

Especially the great party and what

Secrets God has revealed to it by His permission

باللّه شَنِّفْ مسمعي بحديثه

وأَدِرْهُ كأساً واسْقِنِي من دَنِّه

By God, delight my hearing with his tale

And pass me a cup and quench my thirst from its closeness

واسْمَحْ به صِرْفاً فإنّ قتيلَه

يبقى على رَمَقٍ ولم يَسْتَفْنِه

And be lenient with it purely for its slain one

Remains with a breath and did not vanish

فأنا المُصابُ بحبّه وأرى الورى

كلٌّ أصيب بحبّه من فَنِّه

So I am the one afflicted by love of him and I see people

Are all afflicted by love of him from his artistry

كلٌّ يرى سوقَ البضائع رابحاً

فيما لَدَيْهِ وغَيْرُه في غَبْنِه

Everyone sees the market of goods profitable

In what they have while others are at a loss from it

يا ذاكرين اللّه في أرجائه

بُشْرَاكُمُ يومَ المَخافِ بِأَمْنِه

O rememberers of God in its outskirts

Glad tidings to you on the feared day of His safety

واللّه يذكرهم بذِكْرِكُمُ له

ويُحِلُّكم من ذكره في حصنه

And God mentions you by your remembrance of Him

And lodges you from His remembrance in His fortress

وطوائفُ الأملاكِ قد حَفَّتْ بكم

فَلْيَكْفِ ذلك ذاكرا وَلْيَهْنِهِ

And ranks of angels have surrounded you

So let that suffice the rememberer and calm him

هذا وما لخصوص أهل طريقكُم

شَرَفٌ عظيمٌ لا يُقام بِمَنِّه

This and the special merit of the people of your path

Is a great honor that cannot be granted favor for

فاسْعَوْا إليه بكلّ قلبٍ حاضرٍ

غَيْرُ الرّضى من ربّه لم يَعْنِهِ

So hasten to it with every ready heart

Nothing but satisfaction from its Lord has helped it

ودعوا الهوى فَهُوَ الذي عاق الورى

فلَكَمْ رِهَانٍ أُغلِقت في دَيْنِه

And leave passion for it is what has harmed people

For how many pledges were locked up in its debt

وتمتّعوا يا زائريه بمنظرٍ

يهدي لِمَنْ قد زار قُرَّة عينه

And enjoy O visitors of it a sight

That gives delight to one who visited the delight of its eye

وتأمّلوا كيف اعتنى عُمَرٌ به

وأمدّه التوفيق منه لِعَوْنهِ

And contemplate how Umar cared for it

And its facilitation from it supported it

فبنى به سَعةً زوائدَ وافقت

يُمنَى مُهَندِسِهَا رِيَاضَةُ ذِهنِهِ

So he built by it an expanse, extra constructions that

Matched the right hand of its architect, the logic of its mind

إنّ المَقامَ بدونها حسنٌ وفي

تاريخا تمّت زوائِد حسنه

Indeed, the station without it is beautiful and in the date

Its additional beauties were completed
