  1. The letter came from the beloved, bearing glad tidings

    of his arrival—oh, welcome, oh, welcome!

  2. It has restored to me the days of joy, just as

    through Joseph’s shirt, what had been taken away was restored.

  3. I offer you a musk-scented greeting,

    O Mustafa, O chosen one, O elect one,

  4. seeking your prayer while you are in

    a state you deem more conducive to its being answered.
