1. هبّ النسيم بطيب ذكر الهادي

    فتأرجت نفحات عرف النادي

    The breeze blows gently, spreading the sweet fragrance,

    Filling the air with the scent of the meadows.

  2. يا شادياً تشدو بمدح محمد

    كرر فديتك مدحه يا شادي

    Oh nightingale, sing the praises of Muhammad,

    Repeat, my dear, sing his praises again.

  3. كرر على الأسماع ذكر محمد

    فلذكره برد على الأكباد

    Repeat his name to all who would hear,

    For his remembrance soothes all hearts.

  4. وأعد علينا نظم فخر خلال من

    بهر الورى من حاضر أو بادى

    Recite again the glories of the best of men,

    He who amazed the world, present and gone.

  5. هو ذروة المجد الأصيل وقطبُه

    هو صفوة الأشراف والأمجاد

    He is the peak of noble glory, its pillar and axis,

    The finest of nobility and grand deeds.

  6. هو بحر جود فاض عذب نواله

    وصفَت موارده لدى الورّاد

    He is an ocean of generosity, its waters abundantly flowing,

    Quenching the thirst of all who come to drink.

  7. هو خير خلق اللَه والمختار من

    أعلى نجار جلّ عن أنداد

    He is the best of Allah's creations, the chosen one,

    Above all peers, supreme and unmatched.

  8. هو منتهى أملى وملجأ مفزعى

    هو شمس إيماني وبدر رشادي

    He is my greatest hope, my place of refuge,

    The sun of my faith, the full moon of my guidance.

  9. هو عصمتي مما أخاف وحبّه

    يوم القيامة للخطوب عمادى

    He is my protection from all I fear,

    On the Day of Reckoning, he is the pillar of my faith.

  10. إشراق كل النيرات وحسنها

    من نور حسن شهابه الوقاد

    The glow of all goodness emanates from his light,

    The radiance of his brilliant torch.

  11. لا تعجبوا فعناية المختار قد

    خرقت قياس العقل في المعتاد

    Do not be surprised - the care of the Chosen One

    Has surpassed all reason in the extraordinary.

  12. شوقي إلى ذاك المقام أثاره

    حزن تلهّب لفحه بفؤادي

    My longing for that blessed place stirs sorrow in me,

    A sadness that smolders painfully in my heart.

  13. يا ويح مكتئب لما قد شفّهُ

    من فرط أحزان وطول بعاد

    Alas, anguished am I by the distance,

    The separation is long, the sorrows plenty.

  14. كم رام قربَ الدار من أحبابه

    لو أسعفَ المقدور بالإسعاد

    How I wish to be near that home of loved ones,

    If only fate would allow such joy.

  15. كم رام أن يشفى بزورته ظما

    قلب إلى تلك المعاهد صادى

    How I wish to heal my grieving heart

    At those houses of memories that call to me.

  16. أيام أطلع بدر حسن شبابه

    من فوق ناعم غصنه الميّاد

    Days when the full moon of his beauty rose

    Above the delicate branch of his youth.

  17. والآن قد لعبت به أيّامهُ

    وعدَت عليه للمشيب عواد

    Now the days have played with him

    And old age has come to visit its companion.

  18. شيبٌ وضعف وانتزاحُ مواطنٍ

    فمتى يتيح الدهر نيل مرادى

    Old age, weakness, the loss of faculties...

    When will fate grant me my wishes?

  19. لهفى على عمر تصرّم وانقضى

    أفنيت فيه طارفى وتلادي

    I grieve for a life now worn and faded,

    Spent heedlessly in play and leisure.

  20. فلأنزفنّ مدامعي أسفاً على

    ما قدّمتهُ يدي ليوم معادي

    I will weep in regret for all

    That my hands have sent forth for the day of judgment.

  21. يا حادي الأظعان يأملُ طيبَةً

    اقصُص فديتك قصتي يا حادي

    Oh guide of sorrows, I hope for comfort,

    Please share, my dear, please share my story.

  22. وانزل بهاتيك الربوع وقف على

    نادى الندى إمّا عرضتَ ونادِ

    Visit these meadows, stop at the valley of dew,

    Where the breeze spreads fragrance.

  23. هذا أسير بعادكم أجفانه

    تحكى بفيض الدمع سحب عهاد

    His eyes relating tales of sadness.

    When will he, so far from home and family,

  24. فمتى على بعد الديار وشحطها

    يحظى بوصلكم حليف سهاد

    Be blessed with your company again?

    I send you a sweet greeting,

  25. فعليكم منى سلامٌ طيبٌ

    ما ناح غريد بصرحة واد

    That sighs through the halls and valleys.
