يا غياث المستغيثين أغث

من أتاك فضلا وبرا من نداك

O Succorer of those who seek aid, give succor

To one who comes to You out of generosity and righteousness from Your bounty

يا عظيم الفضل يا ذا الجوديا

حي يا قيوم هب لي من عطاك

O The Most Generous, O The Most Munificent

O The Living, O The Eternal, grant me from Your gift

يا عظيم الشان مالي غيركم

لست أرجو غيركم لاذا وذاك

O The Most Glorious, I have none but You

I hope for none but You, neither this nor that

فاعطف الطف بي ورف بي دائما

وأذقني برد عفوك وشفاك

So turn to me with kindness and lift me up always

And let me taste the coolness of Your pardon and healing

واعطني سؤلي ومأمولي وزد

ني من الخيرات شيأ من هناك

And grant me my request and hope, and increase

For me the good things, something from over there

جئت أرجوكم وأرجو فضلكم

رب لا خيبت راج من رجاك

I have come to You hopeful, hopeful for Your grace

My Lord, do not disappoint the hopeful from Your hope

معترف بالذنب والعيب والوزر حقا

صدق لست فيه شاك

Admitting to the sin, flaw and burden truly

You are truthful, I have no doubt in it

فاغفر اصفح من واعتق فالجفا

وصف عبدك ماله عنه انفكاك

So forgive, pardon, emancipate and release my shackles

Describe Your servant, he has no escape from You

مالنا في كل أمر هالنا

أو عرانا اودهانا الأنداك

We have no power in any matter that befalls us

Or harms us, seduces us, the wiles

يا كريما يا رحيما عالما

أدركن عبدك من قبل الهلاك

O The Benevolent, O The Merciful, O The All-Knowing

Save Your servant before destruction

ياإلهي ومليكي سيدي

أعطني سؤلي وداركني دراك

My God and my King, my Master

Grant me my request and shelter me in Your asylum

إنني يا سيدي في كربة

صرت منها مثل طير في شراك

Verily O my Master I am in torment

I have become like a bird in a trap

وأنت أعلم بالذي في باطني

من هموم وغموم واحتراك

And You know best what is inside me

Of worries, griefs and tribulations

وكروب وأمور جمة

ما لداها سيدي الأدواك

And sorrows and severe matters

With no remedy, my Master, but You

فأغثني بغياث عاجل

وأرحني ببشارة من سناك

So give me immediate succor

And gladden me with good tidings from Your loftiness

واهدني الحسنى ووفقني لها

لا هدى يا سيدي الا هداك

And guide me to goodness and make me successful in it

For none guides O my Master but Your guidance

واحمني من كل ما أحذره

واكفني الشرو وحطني بحماك

And protect me from all I fear

And spare me from evil and place me under Your protection

واحفظ أهلي وأحيبابي ومن

ودنا فيك ووفق لرضاك

And protect my family, loved ones and those

Who love You in me and make successful in Your approval

قد أتيانك إلهي خشعا

خضعا نطلب رفدا من نداك

They have come to You my God humbly, submissively

Seeking help from Your bestowal

وأنيناك من الباب الذي

منه يوصل كل عبد منه جاك

And we call upon You from the door through which

Every servant who comes to You reaches You

سيد السادات مولانا الذي

خص بالإسرا وخص بلقاك

O Master of masters, our Master whom

You have privileged with the night journey and seeing You

أحمد المختار طه المصطفى

جئته طالب خلاصي والفكاك

Ahmad the Chosen One, Taha the Chosen

I have come to You seeking salvation and release

من ذنوب وأمور جمة

وهموم أشرفت بي للهلاك

From sins and severe matters

And worries which have caused me to verge on perdition

فتشفع في أموري كلها

والذي أملت من هذا وذاك

So intercede in all my affairs

And that which I hoped for in this and that

رب شفع سيدي في وقل

فوق ما أملت يا مسكين هاك

My Lord, intercede more than

What I have hoped for, O pitiable stranger

رب هب لي منك غايات المنى

واعطني فضلك وعفوك ورضاك

My Lord, grant me the utmost wishes

And give me Your grace, pardon and approval

وصلاة الله تغشى المصطفى

احمدا من قد علا فوق السماك

And may God's prayers be upon the Chosen One Ahmad

Above the heavens

وعلى ىل وأصحاب له

ما ترنم حادا ورعد هناك

And upon his family and companions

Wherever a praiser praises and thunder roars there
