إن الفتن فيها المحن من كل فن

فتوقها يا صاحبي وخليلي

Temptations bring troubles of every kind

Avoid them, my friend and companion

هذا وقد جاء الحديث بأن من

يوقظ نومتها بفعل أو قيل

For it is said, he who wakes their slumber

With deed or word, is cursed

ملعون الرزايا والبلايا كلها

فيها هلاك الدين بالتعجيل

With calamities and afflictions untold

Religion itself risks ruin therein
