صلة الأرحام بالعلم الذي
ينفع الأرحام في يوم القيام
The kinship of knowledge benefits
The kin when Judgment Day arrives
صلة ما مثلها من صلة
يسكن الشخص بها دار السلام
A kinship unlike any other kinship
Through which one resides in Paradise
وبها يعرف ما ينفعه
ويقيه كل محظور حرام
And through it one knows what benefits him
And protects him from all sinful wrong
فازمن أصغي إليه سمعه
واتبع للنصح من ذاك الأمام
So listen closely and lend it your ears
And follow the advice of that imam
ربنا بلهمه للسعدا
ودعاة الخلق سادات الأنام
May God inspire him with happiness
As the guide of mankind, the best of men
والجفاة الاشقيا تحرمه
تركوا النور ومالوا للظلام
While depriving the harsh and wretched ones
Who shunned the light and tended to darkness
إنما العلم جليس مؤنس
وخليل في مسير ومقام
For knowledge is a dear friend and companion
On your every journey and stop
ورفيق بك رفيق مشفق
نافع من غير أجر أو طعام
A caring, loyal companion
Who benefits without reward or provision
ودليل وخفير حارس
يحفظ العهد ويرعى للذمام
A guide, a vigilant guard
Who upholds pacts and wards off harm
وهو ظل وهو نور وهدى
وحياة ليس يعروها حمام
It is shade, light and guidance
A life no pigeon can grasp
قلد العلم ولا تعدل به
وله ألق قيادك والزمام
Cling to knowledge and do not replace it
Entrust it with your reins
نعمك القائد للخير الذي
هو ميراث النبيين الكرام
It is the guide to goodness
The inheritance of the noble prophets
عروة ما مثلها من عروة
مالها قط انفصام وانخرام
A bond unlike any other bond
Never torn or ripped apart
واعلم أن العلم ما تعمل به
لا بما ترويه ذاك الكلام
And know that the knowledge you apply
Not just the words your tongue imparts
إنما العلم نهو الخشية كن
خاشيا ربك حقا يا غلامد
For knowledge is to have awe and fear
O boy, truly fear your Lord
رب وفقنا وسددنا وخذ
بنواصينا إلى أعلى مقام
May God guide us and make us firm
And take us by the forelock to the highest place
واختم العمر بخير وقنا
كل سوء وبلاء ياسلام
May He conclude our lives with good
And protect us from all evil and affliction
واعمر القطر بوال عادل
يبسط العدل ويقهر للطغام
And may He enable the country's guardians
To spread justice and subdue the tyrants
بالنبي المصطفى خير الورى
أحمد المبعوث رحمه للأنام
By the Messanger, the Chosen One, the Best of Creation
Ahmad, the Prophet, may peace be upon him
صلوات الله تغشاه مع
آله والصحب دأبا والسلام
The prayers of God envelop him
His family and companions for eternity
ولربي الحمد حمدا طيبا
وكثير عدد النعم الجسام
And to my Lord belongs all perfect praise
As numerous as His great blessings
