يا عظيم الفضل يا الكريم الوالي

O Great One in bounty, O Kind Protector
ياكثير المن والعطا المتوالي
ياغني يا وهاب دائم الأفضال
O Continuous Giver of successive favors
O Rich One, O Bestower, ever bountiful
يا لطيف الطف بي
في جميع أحوالي
O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states
أشتكي من ذنبي وكثير أوزاري
وهموم جمه من شرور وأشرار
I complain of my sin and great burdens
And worries that have gathered from evils and the wicked
فاكشف اكشف كربي
يا قوي ياباري
So remove, remove my distress
O Powerful One, O Creator
واعطني مطلوبي
في جميع أحوالي
And grant me my request
In all my states

في جميع أحوالي
O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states
ضقت ربي ذرعا ولاسبب من كسبي
تب على توبه تمح كل الذنب
My Lord, I am utterly distressed though no fault of my earning
I repent a repentance that erases all sin
وتفرج همي وتنور قلبي
وبها تصلح لي نيتي وأفعالي
And relieves my worry and illuminates my heart
And by it reforms my intention and my deeds
يا لطيف الطف بي
في جميع أحوالي
O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states
يا قوي قدرد كيد أصحاب الفيل
أهلكتهم طير بحجر من سجيل
O Powerful One, You foiled the plan of the People of the Elephant
Destroying them with birds bearing stones of clay
فاعتبر كيف أمسي كيدهم في تضليل
نسألك تحفظنا من عدو قالي
So take example of how their plot ended in ruin
We ask You to protect us from a hateful fate

في جميع أحوالي
O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states
رب سلم سلم دعوة الممجد
إذ رأى جهنم والتعب قد اشتد
Lord, safe, safe is the call of the Glorious One
When he saw Hell and severe fatigue
والصراط ممدود فوقها محدد
يا سلام يا سلم من شرور أعمالي
And the Path stretched over it, delineated
O Peace, O Safety from the evils of my deeds
يا لطيف الطف بي
في جميع أحوالي
O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states
وهنا صراط قد وجب عبوره
حاد دقيق كيف لي عبوره
And here is a Path we are obliged to cross
Steep, narrow, how can I cross it?
في زمان مظلم كثرت شروره
رب وفق سدد واحم عن ضلال
In an age dark, whose evils abound
Lord, direct me right and guard me from straying

O Gentle One who cares for me

لست أرجوك غيرك يا علي يا موجود
يا كثير الإحسان يا الإله المعبود
I hope for none but You O Exalted O Ever-Present
O Abundant in Kindness, O God Worshipped
يا أحد يا منان يا صمد يا مقصود
هب لنا كل الخير واكف كل أهوال
O One, O Bestower, O Eternal, O Desired
Bestow on us all good and spare us every terror

O Gentle One who cares for me
In all my states
صلوات الله والسلام الدائم
تتغشى الهادي الرسول الخاتم
May the eternal prayers and peace
Envelop the Guiding Prophet
والصحابة والآل ما تيقظ نائم
أو ترقى ناسك للمقام العالي
And his Companions and Family whether asleep or awake
Or a devout one rising to the Most High Station
