يا سعد قلبي ما سلا ولا طاب

وزاد حزنه والحنين

O Saad my heart is not happy or good

And its sadness and yearning increased

من بعدما فارق ربوع الأحباب

وصار بين النازحين

After parting from the land of loved ones

And became among the displaced

وحل بين الباديه والأجناب

أهل الجفاء الغافلين

And settled between the desert and strangers

The people of neglect and the unaware

في البعد عن الأفه والأصحاب

أهل المحبة واليقين

In the distance from relatives and friends

The people of love and certainty

رعى الله أوقات الوصال ياصاح

ساعات راحات الفؤاد

May God watch over the times of reunion, O friend

Hours of comfort for the heart

أيام كنا في سرور وأفراح

والأنس مع صفو الوداد

Days we were in joy and celebrations

And companionship with the sincerity of affection

نسقى بكاسات الهنا من الراح

مع أهله في خير ناد

We drank from cups of bliss

With its people in the best association

ما نختشى مس الوصب والأوصاب

ولا أذايا المؤذيين

We do not fear the touch of thorns and calamities

Nor the harm of the harmful

باسعد سر بي نحو ربع حبي

قم بي وعجل يا سعيد

With Saad, my secret went towards the land of my love

Rise with me and hurry O Saeid

فالشوق قد قطع نياط قلبي

وزاد في جوفي وقيد

For yearning has cut the strings of my heart

And increased in my interior and bond

وليس يبرد حرناركربي

من بعد ذا الوهج الشديد

And nothing cools the heat of my distress

After this severe blaze

إلا نزولي بين تلك الأطناب

بين الهداة الفائزين

Except my descent among those slopes

Among the successful guides

الله جارى من جفا الحبايب

نعوذ بالله الكريم

O God, protect me from the estrangement of loved ones

We seek refuge with God the Generous

إنه مصيبه دونها المصائب

لأنه نار الجحيم

It is a tragedy beyond tragedies

For it is the fire of hell

وهل ترى تصفو لي المشارب

وعندهم أمسى نديم

And do you see the water clear for me to drink

While in their eyes I am a regular guest

من بعد طول البعد والتغراب

وقد مضت كم من سنين

After the long absence and estrangement

And many years have passed

أرجو إلهي ذي الكرم والأفضال

الله رب العالمين

I hope, My God, You of bounty and grace

God, Lord of the worlds

يفتح على قلبي سنى الأحوال

من محض أفضاله آمين

To open my heart to the best of conditions

From Your pure blessings, Amen

مما منح أوتادها والأبدال

ممن سبق واللاحقين

That which You have granted the spiritual poles

Of those who preceded and those to follow

وإغواثها وأفرادها والأقطاب

نسألك جودك يامعين

Their aid, their uniqueness, and the pillars

We ask You, O Giver, to sustain

أولئك الأقوام هم مرادي

وبغيتي بل والمرام

Those people are my desire

And my goal, even the purpose

ومطلبي من جملة العباد

وأنس روحي في الأنام

And my request among all people

And the companion of my spirit among mankind

وحبهم قد حل في فؤادي

وعم لحمي والعظام

And love for them has settled in my heart

It has permeated my flesh and bones

أهل المعارف والصفا والآداب

وراث علم المرسلين

The people of spiritual wisdom, purity and manners

The inheritors of the knowledge of the Messengers

المخلصون الصادقون الأبرار

التائبون العابدون

The sincere, the truthful, the righteous

The repentant, the worshipping

الطيبون الطاهرون الأخيار

الراكعون الساجدون

The good, the pure, the virtuous

The bowing, the prostrating

العارفون الذائقون الأحرار

الحامدون الشاكرون

The gnostics, the tasting, the free

The praising, the thankful

الكل منهم مخبت وأواب

سلكوا سبيل السابقين

They all have humbled themselves and repented

And have followed the path of the foremost

ياالله بذره من محبة الله

يارب يامعطي الجزيل

O God, sow in me the seed of the love of God

My Lord, O Most Generous

أفنى بها عن كل ماسوى الله

يامن عوائدك الجميل

I will give up everything other than God

O You of beautiful traits

ولا أرى من بعدها سوى الله

الخالق الفرد الجليل

And I will see nothing after it but God

The One Creator, Matchless and Tremendous

الواحد المعبود رب الأرباب

محي قلوب العارفين

The One God, Lord of all lords

Reviver of the hearts of the knowers

فأرجى اليوم كشف كربه

ورفع مابي من شرور

So I hope today for relief from worries

And removal of evil from me

إلا ان صفالي مشرب المحبه

وعم قلبي كل نور

Unless my drink is the wine of love

And my heart is filled with all light

ونلت من ربي رضا وقربه

وكل خصله لن تبور

And I have attained from my Lord satisfaction and nearness

And every praiseworthy trait that will not fade

يكون فيها قطع كل الأسباب

مما سوى الله المتين

In it is the cutting off of all means

Other than steadfast God

على بساط العلم والعباده

على الصراط المستقيم

Upon the carpet of knowledge and worship

Upon the Straight Path

والغيب عندي صار كالشهادة

بالروح والقلب السليم

The unseen became to me like the witnessed

With a sound heart and spirit

هذا لعمري منتهى السعاده

طلبت ذا الفضل العظيم

This, by my life, is the epitome of happiness

I sought this great bounty

سبحان ربي من رجاه ما خاب

والنجج للراجي ضمين

Glory to my Lord, whoever hopes in Him is not disappointed

And success is ensured for the hopeful

ياطالب التحقيق قم وبادر

واسلك بحالك والفعال

O seeker of realization, arise and take initiative

And walk steadfastly with certainty of actions

وانهض على ساق الهمم وخاطر

وارق إلى أوج المعال

And stand tall with determination and zeal

And rise to the highest horizons

واصبر على قمع الهوى وصابر

ولا تطع عاذل وقال

And be patient with suppressing desires and be enduring

And do not obey a blamer or saying

واصدق ولا تبرح ملازم الباب

تعطي كمثل الصادقين

And be truthful and do not stop accompanying the door

You will be given like those who are truthful

واعلم بأن الخير كله أجمع

في حال موتك والحياه

And know that all good

In your death and life

ضمن اتباعك للنبي المشفع

شفيعنا عندالإله

Is guaranteed by your following of the intercessor Prophet

Our intercessor with God

صلى عليه الله ماتشعشع

بدرو ما أبدى سناه

May God send blessings upon him as long as

The full moon rises and displays its brilliance

فجروماسالت عيون الأشعاب

فاخضر عيش المجذبين

And as long as the valley streams flow

To water the land of the ecstatic lovers
