  1. خل المقادير تمضي لا تغالبها

    فإن من غالب الاقدار مغلوب

    Let the decrees take their course, do not resist them,

    For whoever resists fate is overcome.

  2. إن القضاء لسيف لا يقاومه

    شيء من الخلق إلا وهو محبوب

    Verily, destiny is a sword that cannot be withstood

    By any creature, except by the beloved.

  3. وامش رويدا مع الأقدار في مهل

    فإن من يكره الأقدار متعوب

    Walk slowly with fate and be patient,

    For whoever dislikes fate is wretched.

  4. سلم وفوض لحكم الله محتسبا

    فإنما الأمر مقضى ومكتوب

    Submit and entrust to God’s judgment as ordained,

    For the matter is predetermined and recorded.

  5. والله يقضي بما شاء وكيف يشا

    والعبد عبد ومخلوق ومربوب

    God decrees as He wills and however He wants,

    While the servant is a slave, a creation and dependent.

  6. ولم يزل ربه الرحمن يكلؤه

    باللطف والحفظ محفوف ومصحوب

    His Lord the Merciful has never ceased

    Enveloping him with kindness, protection and company.

  7. حسن ظنونك بالرب الكريم ولا

    تسيء ظنا فتبقى عنه محجوب

    Have good thoughts of the Generous Lord and do not

    Suspect Him, lest you remain deprived of Him.

  8. واعمل لنفسك أعمالا لا تسر بها

    فكل ما يفعل الإنسان محسوب

    And work for yourself deeds you will not be sorry for,

    Since all man’s actions are recorded.

  9. إن كان خيرا فخير سوف يحصده

    أو كان شرا فتنكيل وتعذيب

    If it is good, then good shall he reap,

    Or if evil, then chastisement and torment.

  10. ياويل من ضيع الأعمال في زلل

    وكل من كسبه الآثام والحوب

    Woe to him who wastes his deeds in mistakes!

    And to him whose gains are sins and pits!

  11. واطلب علو ماقبال مع عمل

    فأنت بالعلم والأعمال مطلوب

    Seek the most high sanctioned by action,

    For you are required to have knowledge and deeds.

  12. واحذر زمانك هذا أنه زمن

    به المناكير شاعت والمعاييب

    And beware your time, for it is an age

    Where forbidden things have spread and faults.

  13. فكن وحيدا فريدا خاملا حذرا

    فإن فيه الأقاويل الأكاذيب

    So be lonely and unique, still and cautious,

    For in it are lies and false tales.

  14. والظلم فاش بلا لوم ولانكر

    وللمساكين تخويف وترهيب

    Injustice is rampant without blame or condemnation,

    And the poor are threatened and terrorized.

  15. فكن لبيتك حِلسا لا تفارقه

    إلا لشيء له في الشرع تصويب

    So make your home your sitting place not leaving it

    Except for something sanctioned by law.

  16. وإذا كرالهك ذكرا دائما أبدا

    فالذكر بالذكر مقرون ومصحوب

    And always remember your Lord forever,

    For remembrance is paired and accompanied by remembrance.

  17. وذا كر الله يجالسه

    فاجلس مع الله تأتيك المواهيب

    And when one remembers God, He visits him.

    So sit with God and gifts will come to you.

  18. واطلب من الله ما تحتاج أجمعه

    فالخير يا ذا لديه والمطاليب

    And ask God for all that you need,

    For bounty and requests are with Him.

  19. لا تسأل إلا كريم الوجه خالقنا

    فعنده الفضل والإحسان مسكوب

    Ask only the Benevolent, our Creator,

    For grace and favor are poured out from Him.

  20. واعكف على بابه في كل ما نفس

    فإن نسيانه يا صاحبي حوب

    And be steadfast at His door in all that the self needs,

    For to forget Him, my friend, is a pit.

  21. وكن أخّى بحبل لاله معتصما

    فكل حبل سواه فهو مقطوب

    And hold firmly to the rope of God,

    For any rope other than His is cut off.

  22. واسلك على سنة الهادي تفوزوفي

    أولاك ترضي وفي أخراك محبوب

    And follow the Sunna of the Guide and you will succeed,

    And among them you will be pleased and in the end loved.

  23. ففي اتباع النبي الخير أجمعهم

    ومن لمذهبهم في الخير منسوب

    For in following the Prophet lies all good,

    And one who follows their way is attributed with good.
