يا مريدين السعاده والتعلم والعباده

اطلبوها باجتهاد ما على جده زياده

O seekers of happiness, knowledge, and worship,

Seek it diligently, increase your effort.

من طلب يعطيه ربي

فوق سوله ومراده

My Lord gives to whoever asks Him,

Beyond his hopes and desires.

فاطلبوا دابا علوما

فضلها فوق الشهاده

So seek knowledge abundantly,

Its virtue is beyond any degree.

واتركوا قيلا وقالا

واغتيالا لعباده

And leave gossip and backbiting,

That ruin worship.

خاب عبد ضاع عمره

في البطالة والبلاده

Wretched is the slave who wastes his life,

In idleness and nonsense,

والسفاله والخساسه

ما تيقظ من فساده

And vileness and meanness,

Not waking from his corruption.

ماذكر موته وقبره ماتزود لمعاده

ماحمد ربه تعالى من حمد مولاه زاده

He does not remember his death and grave, he did not prepare for his return.

He did not praise his Exalted Lord, the One who increases his praise.

ياغبونه ياشجونه

ما ننبه من رقاده

O ignorant one, O passionate one,

No one wakes you from your slumber.

إن نصحته أو وعظته

ليس يرجع من عناده

If I advise or preach to him,

He does not turn back from his stubbornness.

سوف يخسر سوف يحسر

عندما يمسي رماده

He will lose, he will regret,

When he becomes ashes.

سوف يندم حين يقدم

ويرى حرقة فؤاده

He will lament when he steps forward,

And sees the burning of his heart.

وهو وسط القبر جيفه

ماله فرش او وساده

While he is in his grave a corpse,

With no bedding or pillow.

وين خرشه وين لبسه

وين هاتيك القلاده

Where are his fine clothes and dress?

Where are those necklaces?

وين مسحه وين زينه

وين زنده وعضاده

Where is his splendor and adornment?

Where is his power and strength?

وين أهله وين ولده

من يفكه من قياده

Where are his family and children?

Who will free him from his ties?

راحت الدنيا عليه

ما معه منها جراده

The life of this world has left him,

He has taken none of it, not even a locust.

ما معه غير اكتسابه

من شرور أواجاده

He has taken with him nothing,

Except the evil he has committed.

يا عيالي يابناتي

أين من يبغي السياده

O my children, my daughters,

Where are those who seek leadership?

أين خطاب المعالي

من هم للخير قاده

Where is the speech of the eminent ones?

Those who lead the people to good?

وين من يهوى نعيما

لا سبيلا لنفاده

Where are those who love Paradise,

With no way for it to end?

فاسمعوا إلى وانصتوالى

واحفظوا حفظ استفاده

So listen to me and pay attention,

And memorize, memorizing benefits.

تحمد والقول إن عملتم

وأخذتم في اعتماده

You will be thanked if you act,

And take to reliance.

كل خير فالزموه

واتركو إلى كل عاده

Do every good persistently,

And leave every habit.

واطلبوا مرضاة ربي

في استتار وشهاده

And seek the pleasure of my Lord,

In private and in public.

واتركوا الناس وماهم

فيه تحظوا بالسعاده

And leave the people and their ways,

Therein you will attain happiness.

واذكروا الله كثيرا

فازمن ذكراه زاده

And remember Allah abundantly,

For the one who remembers is given increase.

ذاكر في كل حال

ذاك تحظى بوداده

Remembering in every state,

That one attains intimacy.

فاشكروا الله احمدوه

يامريدين الزياده

So thank Allah and praise Him,

O seekers of increase.

والذي ينساه ينسى

غره إبليس وكادة

And whoever forgets Him will be forgotten,

Deceived by the cunning of Iblis.

إن ذكر الله باقي

غير ذكر الله عاده

Remembering Allah is everlasting,

Everything other than Allah's remembrance ends.

والقناعه خير مال

بخت من ماله زهاده

And contentment is the best wealth,

Blessed is he who is ascetic with his wealth.

ليس يحرق ليس يسرق

ليس يخشى من فساده

He covets not, he steals not,

He fears no corruption from him.

واجتهد مادمت حيا

بخت من همه جهاده

And strive as long as you live,

Blessed is he whose concern is striving.

وعلوم الدين حصل

لخلاصك والإفاده

And attain the knowledge of religion,

For your salvation and benefit.

فازعبد قد تيقظ

ثم شمر لرشاده

So worship, having awakened,

Then roll up your sleeves for guidance.

وعلى الله توكل

وإلى الله استناده

And rely upon Allah,

And to Allah is the dependence.

ياسروره ياحبوره إن ختم له بالشهاده

ياكريما يارحيما يالطيفا لعباده

O bliss, O beloved, if you conclude with martyrdom.

O Bountiful, O Merciful, O Gentle to your worshipers.

هب لنا فضلا عظيما

ليس نحصى لعداده

Grant us tremendous grace,

Beyond count and number.

واصلح القلب واذهب

لفساده وسواده

And correct the heart and remove

Its corruption and darkness.

واختم العمر بخير

عند ختمه وحصاده

And conclude my life with good,

At its ending and harvest.

وصلاة الله ربي

عد طشات الرهاده

And may the prayers of my Lord,

Descend on the happy ones.

تتغشى خير خلقه

وعباده في بلاده

Covering the best of His creation,

And His worshipers in every land.
