إنما الدنيا حراف وهراف وزراف

إنها كذب وريش

This world is but nonsense and vanity,

It is but lies and feathers,

ولها سم ذعاف من أتته شغلته

ولها عنه انصراف

Its poison stings those it distracts,

And it soon abandons them.

لا تردها لا تجبها إن آخرها التلاف

واطلبوا الخير تفوزوا

Do not pursue it or oblige it, for its end is ruin,

Seek goodness and you will succeed,

فاغنموه وتلافوا واتركوا الدنيا ارفضوها

واقذروا الدنيا وعافوا

Seize it and avoid ruin, and leave this world, reject it,

And despise this world and be content.

أن أردنوا أن تصحوا وأردتوا أن تعافوا

واجعلوها كعدو

If you wish to prosper and desire wellbeing,

Make it your foe,

لا تودوه أو تصافوا ما بها خير ولكن

خير ما فيها الكفاف

Do not befriend it, for there is no good in it, except

Sufficiency from lawful means in chastity, and chastity is most valuable.

من حلال في عفاف ولقد عز العفاف

واترك الناس جميعا

Leave all people,

For they have been corrupted and strayed, misguidance has spread among them,

إنهم فسدوا وزافوا وفشا فيهم ضلال

وبدا فيهم خلاف

And conflict emerged between them,

Except for a few who feared Allah and were wary.

غير آحاد قليل اتقوا الله وخافوا

يا إلهي ومليكي

My God and my King,

Save us from what we fear, and conclude our lives with goodness

نجنا مما نخاف واختم العمر بخير

حين يأتينا التلاف

When death comes upon us.

Prayers and peace as long as pilgrims circumambulate the Ancient House,

وصلاة وسلام ما عفا الرحا ورافوا

أو أتى البيت حجيج

Kissing the corner and circling,

Bestowing blessings upon the Chosen One and his family,

قبلوا الركن وطافوا يغشيان المصطفى والآ

ل من سادوا ونافوا

Those who guided and led.
