ألا يا ابن العفيف يا

شهاب الدين يا أحمد

O son of chastity, O Shihāb al-Dīn O Ahmad

When fate befell you, thank and praise only Him

لما قدر عليك إلا

له أشكر وأحمد

Be well-mannered, for manners best befit slaves

And are most praiseworthy

تأدب فالأدب بالعبيد

أليق وأحمد

And submit to fate and destiny

So you may be rewarded and praised

وسلم للقضا والقدر

تؤجر وتحمد

Entrust and even submit, be a believer and Muslim

And be a learned teacher

وفوض بل وسلم تكن مؤمن ومسلم

وكن عالم معلم

And be one who praises and thanks

The Lord of the Supreme Throne

وكن حامد وشاكر

لرب العرش الأمجد

For what has passed or will come

So you may be called Muhammad

على ما مر أوطا

ب كي تدعى محمد

O Ahmad do not fret over letters

For fretting over fate's decrees brings troubles

ألا يا أحمد لا

تحمل بالمكاتيب

This world and its affairs are wondrous things

Happy is he who wonders at its marvels

فإن أهل التحمال

بالمقضى متاعيب

Happy is he who takes from it

Provision, remembrance, reflection and patience

وذي الدنيا وأحوا

لها أشيا أعاجيب

O blessed is he who has renounced it

And renounced and avoided it

لقد فاز الذي من

عجائبها أشيا أعاجيب

And worshipped God through obedience

Say, O Lord, O Lord

لقد فاز الذي من

عجائبها تزود

Grant me integrity

For integrity brings us greatest honor

تزود بالتذكر وفيها بالتفكر

وعنها بالتصبر

Through it we attain happiness in the Abode of Eternity

Dwelling alongside the Prophet Mustafa

ألا يا بخت من قد

زهد فيها وزهد

The guiding Muhammad

And repent and return, and aspire and be devout

وجانبها

ولله بالطاعة تعبد

Going to the Merciful Lord

He who aims for the Glorious Lord

وقل يا رب يا رب

هب لي الاستقامه

Will attain all he seeks in this life and the next

And be of open chest and enlightened heart

فإن الاستقامه

لنا أعظم كرامه

Free of all impurities, pure and purifying

Complete, righteous, detached and manifest

بها نيل السعادا

ت في دار المقامه

Constantly invoking God, detached from all else

Forsaking all creation, cutting off all ties

نجاور للنبي المصطفى

الهادي محمد

Realizing the Realities

That you may be granted such a heart

وكن تايب وآيب وكن راغب وراهب

إلى الرحمن ذاهب

To find happiness and guidance

In this life and on the Day

إلا لاخاب من يقصد

الرب الممجد

When all limbs will testify

And we will all ask our Lord

يقع له كل مطلو

ب في الدنيا وفي غد

For a good end

And to follow the best of mankind

وكن ذا صدر مشرو

ح ذا قلب منور

And gather us and loved ones in the Abode of Peace

O happy is he who dwells therein eternally

سليم من جميع الدنس

طاهر مطهر

May God allow us to attain His pleasure through it

And we look to none but God

صحيح صالح أبيض

أجرد ويظهر

For God's bounty is endless

And His generosity inexhaustible

بذكرالله معمور

عن غيره تجرد

Exalted, unequaled in His glory

By the station of Mustafa, best of God's creation

ترك كل الخلائق قطع كل العلائق

تحقق بالحقائق

Who will intercede for all people

On Judgement Day

عسى تحظى بذا القلب

كي نسعد ونرشد

God's blessings and peace be upon him

As long as the stars shine bright

في الدنيا وفي يوم

به الأعضاء تشهد

Along with his noble Family and great Companions

Let us always repeat his glory

ونطلب كلنا ربنا

حسن الختام

Abundant, without end

To the Lord who has blessed us

ويرزقنا اتباع

النبي خير الأنام

With favors beyond measure

ويجمعنا والاحبا

ب في دار السلام

ألا يافوز من هو

بها أمسى مخلد

عسى نظره من الله بها نبلغ رضا الله

ولا ننظر سوى الله

ففضل الله واسع

وجوده ليس ينفد

تعالى عالي الشا

ن في مجده تفرد

بجاه المصطفى خير

خلق الله أجمع

غدا يوم القيامه

لكل الناس يشفع

عليه الله صلى

وسلم ما تشعشع

قرأ وناح قرى

على غصن وغرد

مع الآل الكرام والأصحاب العظام

تردد بالدوام

ونختمها بجمد

كثير ماله حد

لرب قد حبانا

بنعمى ليس تعتد
