الحمد لله ذا سؤالي وذا أملى

أتى إلىّ بلا كد ولا عمل

Praise be to God, this is my question and my hope

It came to me without toil or work

جاء البشير بان الأخ يذكرني

وناب عني ويدعو لي ويشفع لي

The harbinger brought news that my brother remembers me

And makes excuses for me, prays for me, intercedes for me

فيا حسين الذي الإحسان سيمته

أحسن لخل خلي ظاهر الخلل

So oh Hussein whose trait is beneficence

Do good for the faulty, whose flaws are apparent

عسى عسى ولعل الله يرحمه

يزيل عنه جميع العيب والعلل

Perhaps, perhaps, and maybe God will have mercy on him

And remove from him all vice and defects

يتوب توبة صدق لا انتكاث لها

يمحي بها سائر الأوزار والزلل

May he repent a true repentance, never to turn back

Erasing thereby all burdens and mistakes

فقد مضى عمره في الترهات وقد

آن الرحيل إلى الأخرى على عجل

For his life passed in vain chatter, and now

The time of departure to the next world comes swiftly

فما اعتذاري وقد جاء النذير فلم

الواليه وأخلدت مع الكسل

What is my excuse, when the warner came yet I

Did not heed, persisting in laziness?

فقل إذا طفت بالبيت العتيق وفي

مواطن الخير بالتفصيل والجمل

So say, when you circumambulate the Ancient House, and in

The abodes of good in detail and in general:

يا رب نسألك للعبد الفقير رضا

ترضى لناوله من أفضل النحل

O Lord, we ask You to grant pleasure and approval

To our poor servant, and for him the finest gifts

وصل ربي وسلم دائماً أبدا

على رسولك طه خاتم الرسل

And bless, O my Lord, and bestow peace always and forever

Upon Your Messenger Taha, Seal of Prophets

والآل والصحب ما سار الحجيج إلى البيت

العتيق على التعجيل والمهل

And upon his family and companions as long as pilgrims

Hasten and take their time to the Ancient House
