She hung her wrap, revealing shoulders like crystal columns

In which memories would stir long after pilgrims pass

Slimy's curves are clear beneath her gown

Smooth limbed beneath her mantle's sash

Beetles swarming on her breast to drink

Lovely the mole upon her cheek

A baker comes to wet her with the dew

Tenderly woven by the thronging train

Water bearers splash their water skins

Stopping where the spiteful preach in vain

Shunning the barbs of the grim-faced shrew

Whose gums and smile are sorely wrenched

Till the sun's brow is wholly knit at last

    Remembering pagan days now clinched

Above the wanton in her bright gown

Cloaked since old Ad's departed reign
