Youth will not return to you, for time moves on
Until you become like a hillock on the plain
What ails me that I am now weak and frail
Crumbling as the grasses after rains
After my youth here, exuberant and strong
As if just leaving an perfumer's domain
I rode the stick until it pained me so
For riding it, my back and fingers strain
I cannot see a face until up close
My vision fails me after keen discerning
