طربتَ فأطربتَ الخليلَ إلى الذي

طربتَ له فالنفس نحوك جانحه

You brought joy, so you delighted Khalil, the one

وكم أسكرتنا منك من غير قهوة

شمائلُ تغنينا عن المسك فائحه

And how you have intoxicated us, without coffee

فللَه أيّام بقربك أَسعَدت

غوادٍ علينا بالسرور ورائحه

By God, the days you are near have brought me happiness

Breezes of joy come over us

فساعاتي الطولى لديك قصيرةٌ

وصفقةُ كفّي في التجارة رابحه

So my long hours with you are short

And the clapping of my hands in your company is profitable
