ذلكم بعضُ ما لأبناءِ مصرٍ

من مزايا التفوق الإِنساني

That is some of what the children of Egypt

Have of the virtues of human superiority

وبيان الباقي الكثير أراهُ

فوقَ طوفي وليس في امكاني

And explaining the rest, which is plentiful, I see

It above my capability, and not within my power

فافخري يا مصرُ العزيزة وأسمي

ببنيكِ الاماجد الاعيانِ

So take pride, oh precious Egypt, and name yourself

With your glorious and prominent sons

واقبلي من أبناء أختك شكراً

لكِ نهدي جميله كل آنِ

And accept from your sister's children, gratitude

For you, we dedicate the most beautiful at every moment

فضلكِ الجمّ يا خُويلةُ إِنَّا

ذاكروهُ بألسنِ الشكران

Your abundant favor, oh Khuwaylah, we

Remember it with thankful tongues

كلُّ سوري في ربوعكِ اذ ما

تسأليهِ يجب بأجلى بيانِ

Every Syrian in your lands, when

You ask him, responds with the clearest statement

مصرُ عندي عزيزةٌ كبلادي

وبنو مصر كلهم إخواني

Egypt to me is precious like my country

And Egypt's sons are all my brothers

وثنائي عليكِ فرضي ونفلي

وحنيني اليك من إيماني

My praise of you is my obligation and bonus

And my longing for you is from my faith
