Is there a people nobler than my folk

At every watch, on the best gaze?

Riding swift steeds through the plains

With chests as hard as cast iron

Riding the waves whose spray is the death

Of those thrown from their mounts

With stallions purebred like swords forged

    In Mecca, unmatched in temper

Through every long trial they remained

With lions upon them, fierce and relentless

When they ready their spears for the charge

We look to Kisra's empire brought low

Their prowess in times of woe goes unmatched
