أَصبَحَ اليَومَ أَيرُ عَم

مارٍ قَد قامَ وَاِسبَطَر

Today has become an excellent morning

Of a resolute man who rose and recovered

أَخَذَ الرِزقَ فَاِستَشا

طَ قِياماً مِنَ البَطَر

He took provision and stood up straight

From weakness standing from falling

فَهُوَ اليَومَ كَالشّظا

ظِ مِنَ النَّعطِ وَالأَشَر

So today he is like the strong

Against weakness and disability

يَترُكُ القِرنَ في المَكَر

رِ صَريعاً وَما فَتَر

He leaves the enemy slain

On the ground, without ceasing

يُشرِعُ العودَ لِلطَعا

نِ إِذا اِنصاعَ ذو الخَوَر

He unsheathes the spear for stabbing

When the one with hatred is compliant

سَلمَ نِعمَ الضَّجيعُ أَن

تِ لَنا لَيلَةَ الخَصَر

Safe and sound is the resting place you are

For us on the night of intimacy

لَيلَةَ الرَّعدِ وَالبُرو

قِ مَعَ الغَيمِ وَالمَطَر

The night of thunder and lightning

With clouds and rain

لَيتَني قَد لَقيتُكُم

في خَلاءٍ مِنَ البَشَر

I wish I had met you

In an intimate place away from people

فَنَشَرنا حَديثَنا

عِندَكُم كُلَّ مُنتَشَر

So we spread our conversation

With you in every gathering

خالِياً لِيلَةَ التَّما

مِ بِسَلمى إِلى السَحَر

Free on the night of completion

In Salma until dawn

فَهيَ كَالدُرَّةِ النَقِي

يَةِ وَالوَجهُ كَالقَمَر

She is like a pure pearl

And her face like the moon
