1. اليه به سبحانه أَتَوَسَل

    وَأَرجو الَّذي يُرجى لديه واسأل

    To Him, glorified is He, I plead

    And I hope for that which is hoped from Him, so I ask

  2. وأحسن قَصدي في خُضوعي وَذلتي

    له وَعَليه وحده أَتوَكَل

    And I intend well in my submission and humility to Him

    And in Him alone I trust

  3. وأصحب آمالي إِلى فضل جوده

    وأنزل حاجاتي بِمَن لَيسَ يبخل

    And I accompany my hopes to His bounty

    And I descend my needs to Him who does not withhold

  4. فَسُبحانه من أَوَّل هو آخِر

    وَسُبحانه من آخر هُوَ أَوَّل

    So Glorified is He who is the First and the Last

    And Glorified is He who is the Last and the First

  5. وَسُبحان من تعنو الوجوه لِوَحهِهِ

    ومن كل ذي عز له يَتَذَلل

    And Glorified is He to whom faces bow in worship

    And from whom every possessor of might is humbled

  6. ومن هو فرد لا نَظير له وَلا

    شَبيه وَلا مثل به يَتَمَثَل

    And He who is One, with no equal or

    Similarity, nor can any be compared to Him

  7. ومن كلت الافهام عَن وصف ذاته

    فَلَيسَ لها في الكيف والاين مدخل

    And minds are confounded in describing His essence

    So they have no entry into the how and where

  8. تكفل فضلا لا وجوبا برزقه

    عَلى الخلق فهو الرازِق المتكفل

    He guaranteed provision, not by obligation

    But by His grace, for He is the Provider

  9. وَلَم يأخذ العبد المسىء بذنبه

    وَلكنه يرجى لامر وَيمهل

    And He did not seize the disobedient slave for his sin

    But He gives respite and is forbearing

  10. حَليم عَظيم راحِم متكرم

    رؤف رَحيم واهب متطوّل

    Forbearing, Tremendous, Merciful, Generous

    Kind, Compassionate, Bestower, Patient

  11. جواد مجيد مشفق متعطف

    جَليل جَميل منعم متفضل

    Bountiful, Glorious, Compassionate, Gentle

    Sublime, Beautiful, Beneficent, Munificent

  12. له الراسيات الشم تهبط خشية

    وَتنشق عَن ماء يسيح وَيخضل

    To Him belong the firmaments that descend in awe

    And crack from the water He pours and splashes

  13. وأنشأ من لا شيء محبا هو اطلا

    يسبح فيها رعدها وَيهلل

    And He created from nothing a lover, ecstatic

    Who praises therein His thunder and shouts His Oneness

  14. وأَحيا نَواحي الأَرض من بعد مَوتِها

    بمنسجم غيث من السحب يهمل

    And He gave life to the regions of earth after their death

    With the harmonious rain from pouring clouds

  15. واجرى بِلا نفخ رياحا لواقحها

    تَسير بلا شخص يحاط وَيعقل

    And He caused the winds to blow without being blown into

    Traveling without a being to control and reason

  16. فَسُبحان مَجرى الريح في كل موضع

    لتبلغ كل العالمين وَتشمل

    So Glorified is He who drives the winds wherever He wills

    To reach all the worlds and encompass them

  17. عَلى أَنه في عز سلطانه يَرى

    وَيَسمَع منا ما نجد ونهزل

    And in His invincible sovereignty He sees

    And hears from us what we feel and express

  18. يحيط بما تخفى الضَمائر عمله

    وَيَدري دَبيب النمل وَاللَيل أَلبل

    He encompasses that which hearts conceal in their actions

    And knows the creeping of ants and the darkest night

  19. وَيَحصى عديد القطر وَالرَمل وَالحَصى

    وَما هُوَ أَدنى منه عدا وأَكمَل

    And counts the number of drops, sand, and pebbles

    And that which is lesser than they, to the utmost detail

  20. وَيَعلَم ما قدر الجبال وَوزنها

    مَثاقيل ذر أَو أَخف وَأَثقَل

    And knows the weight of mountains and their mass

    As tons, particles, less or more

  21. حَنانيك يا من فضله الجم فائض

    وَمن جوده المَوجود للخلق يَشمَل

    Your tenderness, O He whose overflowing grace

    And whose bounty encompasses all creation

  22. وَيا غافِر الزلات وَهي عَظيمة

    وَيا نافِذ التَدبير ما شاء يَفعَل

    O Forgiver of terrible wrongs

    O Executor of what He wills to perfection

  23. وَيا فالق الاصباح وَالحب وَالنوى

    وَيا باعِث الاشباح في الحشر تنسل

    O Splitter of dawn, seeds, and nuclei

    O Reviver of spirits on Resurrection Day swarming

  24. أَجِب دَعوَتي يا سَيدي واقض حاجَتي

    سَريعا فَشأن العَبد يَدعو وَيعجل

    Answer my prayer, O my Master, and fulfill my need

    Swiftly, for it is the way of servants to pray insistently

  25. فَما حاجَتي الا الَّتي قَد عَلِمتها

    وان عظمت عِندي فَعندك تسهل

    My need is only that which You already know

    Though great to me, with You it is easily solved

  26. تول ابن يحيى الشارقى محمدا

    وأبلغه في الدارَين ما هُوَ يأمل

    Take care of the son of Yahya Al-Sharqi, Muhammad

    And grant him in the two abodes what he hopes for

  27. وأسبل عَليهِ الستر من كل نكبة

    فَسَترك مَسدول عَلى الخَلق مسبل

    Drape over him the veil from every calamity

    For Your drape covers creation completely

  28. وأكرمه بالقرآن واجعله حجة

    لَهُ شافعا اذ لا شَفاعَة تقبل

    Honor him with the Qur'an and make it his authority

    An intercessor for him when no intercession is accepted

  29. فَيا طول ما يَتلوه يَرجو بضاعة

    مضاعَفة يَوم الجَزا لَيسَ تهمل

    For the more he recites it hoping for abundant reward

    On the Day of Requital, may it not be denied

  30. وَلاطفه وارحم من يَليه رحامة

    وَصحبا فان البعض للبعض يحمل

    Treat him gently, and have mercy on those around him

    For some carry others’ burdens

  31. أَجرهم من الدنيا وَمن نكباتها

    وَجازهم يوم العشار تعطل

    Reward them in this world and from its tribulations

    And on the Day when deeds are weighed, recompense them

  32. وَقائلها واغفر خَطاياه أَنَّه

    أَسير باثقال الذنوب مكبل

    And the one reciting it, forgive his sins, though

    Burdened with the weight of sins, fettered

  33. أَتاكَ وَلا قَلب سَليم مطهر

    وَلا عمل تَرضى به كان يفعل

    He came to You with no pure or cleansed heart

    Nor righteous deeds he used to perform

  34. وَلا يَرتَجي من عند غيرك رحمة

    وَلا يَبتَغي فَضلا لمن يتفضل

    Nor does he hope for mercy from other than You

    Nor seek grace from the gracious

  35. بَلى جاء مسكينا مقرا بِذَنبه

    ذنوب وَأَوزار عَلى الظهر تحمل

    Rather he came destitute, confessing his sin

    Sins and burdens upon his back he carries

  36. فَحَقِق رَجائي فيك يا غاية المنى

    فانت لمن يَرجوك حصن مؤمل

    So fulfill my hope in You, O ultimate desire

    For You are the fortress of those who hope in You

  37. وَقل أَنتَ يا عَبدالرَحيم لِرَحمَتي

    خلقت ومن يعنيك فهو مجمل

    And say: O Most Merciful’s servant! For My mercy

    I created you, and whoever seeks refuge in you is completed

  38. سأغرقكم في بحر جودى كَرامة

    وأومنكم يوم المراضع تذهل

    I will immerse you all in the sea of My bounty and honor

    And give you safety on the Day when relatives are preoccupied

  39. وان فتحت جنات عدن لداخل

    فَقُل يا عِبادي هَذه الجنة ادخلوا

    And if I open the Gardens of Eden for one who enters

    Say: O My servants! This is Paradise, enter

  40. فَجودك يا ذا الكبرياء مؤمل

    وَحبلك للراجين بالخير يوصل

    For your bounty, O Lord of Majesty, harbors hope

    And Your cord to those who hope for good delivers them

  41. وَصل وَسلم كل لمحة ناظر

    عَلى أَحمد ما حن رعد مجلجل

    And bless and salute every glance

    Upon Ahmed whenever lightning flashes

  42. صَلاة تحاكى الشمس نورا وَرِفعَة

    وتفضح أَزهار الرياض وَنجعل

    A prayer that rivals the sun in light and loftiness

    And puts garden flowers and basil to shame

  43. تخص حَبيب الزائين وَتثنى

    عَلى آله اذهمأَعز وَأَفضل

    Specifically for the beloved of both worlds, and then

    His family, for they are the most honorable and virtuous
