1. مثل لعينك خدرا في الحمى ضربا

    وانشد فؤادا مَع الاحباب مغتربا

    Your eyes are like intoxicating wine in feverish desire

    And my heart sings with loved ones in estrangement

  2. وابك المَنازِل بعد الظاعنين دما

    ان لم تر الدمع يَقضي عنك ما وجبا

    I weep for the abodes after the departing companions, with blood

    Unless my tears fulfill what is obligated of me

  3. وَلا تَلم في الهوى العذرى ذا شجن

    في الغور هب له ريح الصبا فصبا

    Do not blame the innocent in love of their anguish

    In the valleys, send the breeze of youth blowing

  4. ان حدث الركب عَن نجد بكى شجنا

    وان رأى النار في نجد بكى طربا

    If a caravan speaks of Nejd, it weeps in yearning

    And if it sees a fire in Nejd, it weeps in rapture

  5. وَالورق ساجعة تغرى الغرام به

    وَالبرق يلهبه وجدا اذا التهبا

    The leaves are lovers confiding their passion

    And lightning inflames them when it ignites

  6. يود لو أَنَّ أَيام الحمى رجعت

    وَقلما رد شيء بعد ما ذهبا

    It wishes the days of fever would return

    And seldom does a thing come back once gone

  7. فَيا حويدي المَطايا ذا الكَثيب وَذا ال

    مرغي الخَصيب فدعها ترعى العذبا

    So stop, O camel rider, at the dune and meadow

    Let them graze the fresh plants at leisure

  8. في روضة ظل نجدى النَسيم بها

    نشوان بنثر من حب الندى حببا

    In the meadow, Nejd's breeze scatters

    Seeds of dew's love, so sweet and pleasurable

  9. وان وردت بها ماء العَذيب فقل

    سَقى العذيب من الامواه ما عذبا

    And if you reach its fresh water, say

    The fresh water quenched from springs so pure

  10. وَخل عنها اذا اِرتاحت لرائحة

    من طيب طيبة أوريا رياض قبا

    And leave it when it rests from the scent

    Of perfumes from Taif or meadows of Qaba

  11. وان وصلت بها باب السلام فقل

    مني السَلام عَلى أَوفى الورى حسبا

    And if you arrive at the Abode of Peace, say

    My greetings to the most faithful of mankind

  12. محمد خير منزول بساحته

    كهف الارامل والايتام وَالغربا

    Muhammad is the best ever halted in its plains

    A cave for widows, orphans, and the deprived

  13. أَغر أَرسله الرحمن مرحمة

    للخلق بالحق يهدي العجم وَالعربا

    The Merciful sent him as a mercy

    To guide the non-Arabs and Arabs in truth

  14. نور الوجود تمام الجود ان نزلت

    به الوفود بسوح ضيق رحبا

    The light of existence, perfect in bounty, when

    Delegations crowded its narrow, vast expanse

  15. ملاذ كل صَريخ ما صدمت به

    خطبا فكلّ وَلا اِستَعطيته فأبى

    Refuge for every anguished cry, never

    Repelled by any peril, always answering pleas

  16. تندى الغمام اذا اِستَمطرتها مطرا

    وابن العواتك تندى كفه ذهبا

    The clouds pour when you beseech them with rain

    And the palm's son pours gold in his palm

  17. وَتسلب الشمس ثوب النور آفلة

    وَنور أَحمد شق الترب واِشتَهيا

    The sun strips its garment of light when setting

    But Ahmad's light split through the earth, shining

  18. ان ابن عبد مناف شمس اِبتَهَجَت

    لما رآها سَنا أَهل الضلال خبا

    Son of Abd Manaf, the sun rejoiced

    When it saw him, while the misguided frowned

  19. كَم عاندته قريش في نبوّته

    وَكم أَضافوا اليه السحر وَالكَذِبا

    How Quraysh denied his prophecy

    And attributed sorcery and lies to him

  20. وَضلة نبزوه بالجنون وَلَم

    يَبقوا لأسمائه من ضدها لقبا

    Lost fools insulting him as insane

    Leaving no nickname casting doubt on him

  21. حَتّى رَماهم بجيش لا كفاء له

    يَهدي إِلى الهدين الحرب وَالحربا

    Until he defeated them with an army beyond compare

    Guiding to guidance through war upon war

  22. بيض المفارق وَالهَيجاء مظلمة

    كانهم في ظهور الخَيل نبت ربا

    White stallions and black nights

    As if amidst the horses they were sprouting grass

  23. فيهم عتيق وَفاروق وَصنوهما

    عثمان وَالحيدري الضاري اذا وثبا

    Among them were champions like Attiq and Faruq

    And their equals Uthman and the warrior Haydar

  24. أئمة شرف الله الوجود بهم

    ساموا العلا فسموا فوق العلا رتبا

    Noble leaders honored by God’s existence

    Exalted above the exalted in rank

  25. وهن نزار وَفرعى تغلب عرب

    أَرباب سمر وَبيض تلتظى لهبا

    Brave and elegant Arab lords

    Lords of brown and white swords flaming

  26. الخَائضي غمرات الموت متخذي

    هام الكماة عَلى أَرماحهم عذبا

    Plunging into the depths of death

    Taking oaths on their spears, most solemn

  27. الشاربي الموت صرفا في الهياج فَما

    يَدرون طعنا وَضَربا كان أَم ضربا

    Drinking death in gulps amidst the fray

    Not knowing if striking or being struck

  28. محبة لنبي بين اظهرهم

    اختاره واِجتَباه اللَه واِنتخبا

    Loving the Prophet distinguished them

    God chose and selected him

  29. مؤيدا بكتاب اللَه معتصما

    بِاللَه منتصرالِلَّه محتسبا

    Supported by God's book, steadfast

    Victorious for God's sake, patient

  30. يا أَشرف الخلق من حاف وَمنتعل

    وَمنتقى من مشي منهم ومن ركبا

    O noblest of creations in lineage

    And finest selected from their walks or rides

  31. كان ابن مسلم جار الجنب من برع

    فكنت من بعد جاري جارك الجنبا

    Son of Muslim was my next door neighbor

    So you became my neighbor after him

  32. أَهدى اليك من النيابَتين عَلى

    شوقي اليك حروفا تشبه الشهبا

    I send to you from my deputyship

    My longing in words like shooting stars

  33. فصل بمرحمة عَبد الرَحيم ومن

    يَليه أَهلا وأرحاما وَمُصطَحَبا

    So bless Abd al-Rahim and those after him

    His family, relatives, and companions

  34. وان دعا فأجبه واحم جانبه

    وَصله ما قطعت أَيامه السَبيل

    And if he calls, answer him, guard his side

    And join what his days have severed

  35. لا نلت قوة ضعفي ان نبازمني

    وَفي يَدي منك سيف ما هَوى فَنَبا

    My weakness cannot resist if he opposes me

    While in my hand is your unfailing sword

  36. وَلا عدمتك في الدارين معتمدا

    بجاه وَجهك مِثلي يَتقي التربا

    Nor can I lack your support in both abodes

    Relying on your station, one like me avoids ruin

  37. فقم بحالي وَحال المُسلمين اذا

    ضاق الخناق ورض لي كل ما صعبا

    So aid me and the Muslims when necks are constricted

    And pave for me all rugged roads

  38. مني عليك صَلاة اللَه دائمة

    تنمى فَتَستَغرق الاعصار وَالحقبا

    From me to you, may Allah's prayers ever rise

    Increasing, engulfing eras and eons

  39. نزيد قدرك يا سر الوجود علا

    والآل وَالصحب نعم السادة النجبا

    Raising you, secret of existence, higher

    And your family and companions, nobles of glory

  40. ما حن رعد وَما غنت مطوقة

    وَما تغنت حمامات الحمى طَرَبا

    Neither rumbling thunder nor singing camel driver

    Nor the coo of Nejd's doves sang in rapture
