1. كلام بلا نحو طعام بِلا ملح

    وَنحو بلا شعر ظلام بلا صبح

    Speech without grammar is food without salt

    And grammar without poetry is darkness without dawn

  2. وَمن يتخذ علما وَيلغهما يعد

    بِلا رأس مال في الكَلام وَلا ربح

    Whoever takes knowledge and forgets it

    Is without capital in speech or profit

  3. اذا شرحوا فضل العلوم فانني

    غني بفضل النحو عن ذلك الشرح

    When they explain the virtue of knowledge, I am

    Content with the virtue of grammar, without need for that explanation

  4. يَليق الخطاب اليعربي بأهله

    فيهدى الوفا للنقص والحسن للقبح

    It is fitting for eloquent speech to be for its people

    So loyalty is guided to the flawed, and beauty to the ugly

  5. ومن شرف الاعراب ان محمدا

    اتى عَربي الاصل من عرب فصح

    And of the honor of eloquence is that Muhammad

    Came, Arabic in origin, from eloquent Arabs

  6. وان المَثاني انزلت بلسانه

    بما خصصته في الخطاب من المدح

    And the Methani were revealed in his tongue

    With what distinguished him in speech through praise

  7. يَكون محال الشعر وصفا لغيره

    وَيَكفيه ما في سورة الشرح وَالفَتح

    The purpose of poetry should be a description of another

    And it suffices what is in Surat Al-Sharh and Al-Fath

  8. نَبي دَعاه المُذنِبون وهم عَلى

    شفا جرف هار فَمَديد الصفح

    A prophet they called while steeped in sin

    On the edge of a terrible cliff, of vast forgiveness

  9. واحيا منار الدين في كل وجهة

    وَذب عَن الاسلام بالسَيف وَالرمح

    He revived the beacon of religion in every direction

    And protected Islam with the sword and spear

  10. وايام غارات تظل بها القنا

    محطمة وَالخيل مشتدة الصبح

    And days of raids in which the thrush

    Was crushed, and the horses vivid at dawn

  11. وَكَم في عيون الغي بالرشد من قذى

    وَكَم في فؤاد الشرك منكبد نزح

    How much filth is in the eyes of those gone astray

    And how much hatred in the hearts of polytheists

  12. محا نوره المَشهور نار عنادهم

    وَهد بطود الهدى منهدم الصرح

    His famous light erased their blazing stubbornness

    And leveled the mountains of guidance, demolished the palaces

  13. وَفل جهادة اشوكة الشرك اذ دَعا

    كباشجهاد المشركين الى الذبح

    So the thorns of polytheism withered, when he called

    The warriors to slay the idolaters

  14. وَهدم رسم الكفر بالسَيف عنوة

    واودع ذا البين داعية الصلح

    And he demolished the customs of disbelief by force

    And left the far caller to reconciliation

  15. وَما زالَ يَدعونا بِتَوفيق ربنا

    الى الملة الغراء وَالمذهب السمح

    He never ceased calling us, by God's guidance

    To the glorious faith and lenient doctrine

  16. اذا خابَت الآمال فانزل بطيبة

    وَزر قبرها تظهر هنالك بالنجح

    When hopes are dashed, descend upon Medina

    And visit his grave, success will appear there

  17. نضحت لظى ذَنبي بلذة ذكره

    فاطفأت نار الذنب بالذكر وَالنضح

    The heat of my sin is cooled by the bliss of his mention

    So remembrance and sprinkling extinguish the fire of sin

  18. مَكين اذا اِستَنصَرته أَو دَعوته

    لخطب أَتاك الغوث أسرع من لمح

    Secure, if you seek or call him for help

    Succor will come to you quicker than a blink

  19. وَلي لمنوالى شديد عَلى العدا

    عطوف عَلى العافين ذو خلق سمح

    And I have intense severity towards enemies

    Yet kindness for the virtuous, of tolerant temper

  20. حَوى الشرف الاعلى بمجد مؤثل

    منيف واحساب مهذبة وضح

    He contained the highest glory with splendid glory

    Pure, righteous, refined nature, and clear

  21. وَرفعة قدر زانها طيب عنصر

    وَطول يد أَندى من العارض السح

    And the loftiness of his status adorned by good origin

    And length of a hand more dewy than April showers

  22. وَعز جناب مخضر السوح دائما

    اذا اِغبرت الآفاق منحصر السوح

    And the honor of an ever verdant, flourishing side

    When horizons are covered in bushes

  23. تَلوح عليه شيمة هاشمية

    جَلال أَبيه البرّ أَو عمه اللح

    Upon it shines a Hashimite quality

    The majesty of his righteous father or lenient uncle

  24. خلاصة سر السر من عز غالب

    أَولى الفضل لا شهم وَلا جمح الجمح

    Quintessence of the secret's secret, from the glory of a victor

    Foremost in merit, no arrogance or injustice

  25. تسلسل في الاصلاب من عهد آدم

    فَسارَ مسير الشمس في طالع النطح

    A lineage extending back to the time of Adam

    Traveling the course of the sun in the ascent of the ibex

  26. وأشرق في شرق البلاد وَغربها

    سناه وَما أَبقى الى الشرك من جنح

    He shone in the east of the lands and its west

    His sunnah, leaving no path for polytheism

  27. اليك رَسول اللَه جاءَت بسرعة

    قلوب من الاشواق داعية الفرح

    To you, Messenger of God, hearts came quickly

    From yearning, joyfully calling

  28. فأنتَ الَّذي لَولاكَ ما كانَ كائِن

    وَلا كر من ليل بهيم وَلا صبح

    You, without whom nothing would exist

    No mention of night or dawn

  29. كَفاكَ علا ان الجمادات سلمت

    عليك ابتداء كالسجود من السرح

    It is enough that inanimate things greeted you

    Initially, like the prostration of the pillow

  30. وانك في لفح الظَهيرة ظللت

    عليك الغمام الهاطلات من اللفح

    That you were shaded at noon by clouds

    Pouring down fine spray

  31. وَكَم لمست يمناك ذا المس فاِنثَنى

    صَحيحا وَداوت معضل الداء بالمسح

    How often has your right hand touched and straightened

    The healthy and cured the pain of affliction with a touch

  32. وَسليت محزونا وأرشدت غاويا

    وأشفيت من سقم وأبرأت من جرح

    You consoled the grieving and guided the lost

    Healed the sick and mended the wounded

  33. عَساكَ رَسول الَه تقبل عذر من

    يظل وَيمسى في الذنوب كَما يضحى

    May you, Messenger of God, accept the apology of one

    Who spends the night and day in sins, as the sun rises

  34. يُناديك من نيابَتي برع فَقَد

    كبازنده في الصالِحات عَن القدح

    Calling you through my delegate racing

    In good deeds, not falling short

  35. فشد عرا عَبد الرَحيم وَسربه

    بمرحمة واغلل يد الضيق بالفسح

    So steer your servant to the Merciful and herd him

    With mercy, and shackle the hand of hardship with relief

  36. وان خضت في بحر الذنوب جهالة

    فعطفك يا فرد الجَلالة بالصفح

    If I err in the sea of sins in ignorance

    Then may your unique majesty forgive

  37. فَبي فاقة للجود منك وَللندى

    كفائه ظمآن صدىّ الى الرشح

    I am needy for your generosity and the dew

    A thirsty echo calling for irrigation

  38. واني اذا ضاقَت وجوه طالبي

    أَسير بآمالي الى بابك الفسح

    And if the faces of those seeking me frown

    I walk with my hopes to your open door

  39. فصني لمدحي فيك واقبل وَسيلَتي

    اليك وقم بي في مَعادي وَفي منحى

    So protect me in my praise of you and accept my aspiration

    To you, and establish me in my purpose and destination

  40. وصل حبل راويها وارحامه غدا

    اذا طرحوا في النار مستوجب الطرح

    Join the ties of its reciter tomorrow

    When they are tossed into the fire, deserving to be discarded

  41. وَصَلي عَليك اللَه ما هبت الصبا

    وَما اِعتقبت دار الضحى عذب السفح

    And may God send blessings upon you as long as the breeze blows

    And the abode of morning follows the gentle slope

  42. صَلاة تبارى الريح مسكا وَعَنبرا

    وَتزرى بنور النور في طلع ذي الطلح

    Blessings that compete with the wind in musk and ambergris

    And flow with the light of the light at the rising of Ath-Thalj
