1. سجعت بأيمنذي الاراك حَمائمه

    وَهمت عَلى عذب العذيب غمائمه

    My dove cooed in the trees of al-Arak,

    As clouds wafted gently over sweet waters,

  2. وَسرى حِجازي النَسيم يعانق ال

    خضر من أَثلاته وَيلاثمه

    The Hijazi breeze embraced the green

    Of its groves and pressed close to them.

  3. فأجبت ساجع وَرقه بِمَدامع

    ذرفت عَلى طلل درسن مَعالمه

    So I answered the cooing leaves with tears

    That I shed over the ruins of Darsen.

  4. سحبت سحاب الجوفيه ذيولها

    وَمحاه من غدق الحيا متراكمه

    The clouds of Jouf drew up their hems

    And erased its signs from the horizon.

  5. وَتضاحكت أَنواره وَتنوعت

    أَزهاره حين ابتسمن كَمائمه

    Its lights smiled and its flowers

    Bloomed when its doves glanced.

  6. وَتنكرت أَعلامه وَربوعه

    وَتفرقت هنداته وَفواطمه

    Its landmarks and meadows were masked

    And its Hind and Fatima scattered.

  7. يا لائمي فيمن كلفت به أفق

    عَن لوم صب أَمرضته لوائمه

    O you who blame me for whom

    I have burdened, cease your blame!

  8. وأبيك قد أنصفت في عذلى وَلا

    علمت قَلبي غير ما هو عالمه

    Though you know not my heart

    Except what it has made known.

  9. الحب ما أَجرى الدموع صَبابَة

    وأباح سرا ما برحت أُكاتمه

    Love let flow my tears unrestrained

    And allowed my secret not kept hidden.

  10. وَأَنا الَّذي لعب الفراق بعقله

    لما تَناءَت بالفَريق رواسمه

    Parting played with my reason when

    Destinies parted from each other.

  11. يحدو الحِجاز حيا الغمامة كلها

    من بعده عقداته وَصرائمه

    Hijaz sings the praises of that cloud

    After it, its knots and bracelets,

  12. فَسَقى الحجاز حيا الغمامة كلها

    تَبكي سحائبه وَيَضحَك باسمه

    So Hijaz gave drink to that cloud

    Whose showers weep and smile in its name,

  13. بلدا أَضاءَت من ضياء محمد

    أَحرانه وَنجودهوَتهائمه

    A land whose radiance is Muhammad’s

    Illuminated its mountains, generosity, and zeal.

  14. وَتَطاوَلَت رتب الفخار لمن دَنا

    لعلاه اكليل العلا وَنعائمه

    Steps of glory rose up for whoever drew near

    Its summit, crown of glory, and bliss.

  15. علم النبوّة خاتم الرسل الَّذي

    ملأت جَميع العالمين مَكارمه

    Seal of prophecy, master of messengers, who

    Filled the whole world with his virtues.

  16. سيف حمائله عَلى عنق الهدى

    وَبكف أَخيار الخَليقَة قائمه

    Sword of resolve borne on the neck of guidance

    In the grasp of the elite of creation upright.

  17. لما دَعا الكفار بالبيض الظبا

    لبته من جند الضَلال جماجمه

    When he called the infidels with the white swords

    He rent their skulls from the army of misguidance.

  18. وَمحت نجوم الشرك شمس ظهوره

    وَتَتابَعَت في الملحدين ملاحمه

    The rising sun of his appearance erased

    The stars of polytheism and their constellations.

  19. بعر مرم في الخافقين غباره

    صعدا وَفي أذن السماك زمائمه

    The dust of his galloping steed rose

    To the celestial spheres, his banner aloft.

  20. ملأ اذا لبسوا الحَديد رأَيتهم

    بحرا تموّج بالظبا متلاطمه

    When clad in iron you would see them

    A surging sea with the white swords clashing.

  21. وأَبو اليَتامى بين أَظهرهم اذا

    زأرت ضراغمه نهشن اراقمه

    The father of orphans between them, when

    His weapons roared, tore their necks.

  22. فَقلدسرت مسرى النجوم همومه

    وَمضى مضىّ الباترات عزائمه

    So his worries set forth like the stars

    And his resolves sped like lightning bolts.

  23. شمس النبوّة من ذؤابة هاشم

    أَضحى به فوق الكَواكِب هاشمه

    Sun of prophecy from glorious Hashim

    Rose above the stars, himself glorious.

  24. وَحسام دين ما تَناآى فعله

    وَكَريم قوم انجبته كَرائمه

    Whose actions his sword never ceased from

    And who was sire of the most virtuous.

  25. ان جاد يوم الجود فهو غمامة

    أَوصال يوم الروع فهو صوارمه

    A cloud when generous, lightning when ferocious,

    An angel amidst armies, Death itself his servant.

  26. وَمن الملائك في المَعارك جنده

    وَالمَوت في حرب الضَلالة خادمه

    White swords and spears his shade

    On days of hatred when souls are plunder.

  27. وَالبيض والاسل الطوال ظلاله

    يَوم الكَريهة وَالنفوس غَنائمه

    He to whom the camels knelt out of reverence

    While clouds shaded them from above.

  28. ذاكَ الَّذي سجدا لبعير لوجهة

    وَالجذع حن وَظَللته غمائمه

    Upon him orphaned lambs suckled

    As the swollen udders overflowed.

  29. وَعليه سلمت الاوابد مثل ما

    فاضَت من الضرع الاجد سواجمه

    May Allah bless him as long as buds bloom

    And smile in the green of the meadows through his name.

  30. صَلى عليه اللَه ما زهرزها

    وَضحكن في خضر الرباء بواسمه

    He is crowned with bounty, the one who

    Tied about his generous self turbans of munificence.

  31. فهو المتوج بالكَرامَة والَّذي

    عصبت عَلى الكرم العَريض عمائمه

    His time was ennobled by him so his pride lengthened

    And its darkness and oppressions dissipated.

  32. شرف الزَمان به فَطالَ فخاره

    وَتقطعت ظلماته وَمظالمه

    It flourished through Ahmad, his mantle, staff,

    Crown, Praised Fountain, and Seal.

  33. وَزها بأحمد برده وَقَضيبه

    وَالتاج وَالحوض المعين وَخاتمه

    Through him guidance was clarified after its lessons

    And its horizons purified as its star rose.

  34. وَبه اِستَبان الرشد بعد دروسه

    وَزكت مطالعه وأشرق ناجمه

    The lamp of guidance shone through Muhammad

    And the truth dawned as its pillars straightened.

  35. وأضاء مصباح الهدى بمحمد

    وَالحق أَشرَق واِستقمن قوائمه

    In him you find a sanctuary inviolable

    From all tribulations that would encroach on its holy precincts.

  36. لذ من جَميع النائبات به تجد

    حرما علا ان تستَباح محارمه

    So the times boast of Muhammad’s mighty status

    However many glories of the times assail you.

  37. وارم الزَمان بعظم جاه محمد

    مَهما رمتك من الزمان عظائمه

    O you who possesses the Sacred House, its superiority,

    Station, Black Stone, and seasons.

  38. يا من له البيت الحَرام وَفضله

    وَمقامه وَحطيمه وَمواسمه

    And the Maqam, the Stone that

    Grows more radiant the more the prophets kiss it.

  39. وَله الصفا وَالحجر والحجر الَّذي

    يَزداد ما سحه النَعيم وَلاثمه

    How can you treat me, may I be your ransom,

    O you in whom Arab and non-Arab place their hope!

  40. ماذا تُعاملني جعلت فداك يا

    من يَرتَجيه عربه وأعاجمه

    On the day the oppressed triumphs over his wronger

    And the prisoner’s jailer suffers punishment.

  41. في يوم المَظلوم منتصر له

    وَبسجن سَجين يعاقب ظالمه

    His adversary hopes for fair recompense while his judge is

    The Overseeing King whose testifiers are limbs.

  42. وَلخصمه يَرجو الجزا وَشهوده ال

    اعضاء وَالملك المهيمن حاكمه

    A prisoner of sins called you when

    His transgressions prevented him from holy grounds.

  43. ناداك من برع أَسير ذنوبه

    لما حمته عَن المزار مآثمه

    So intercede with the Creator for him, so that

    Through your station his misdeeds may be erased.

  44. فاشفع الى الباري له فَلَرُبما

    تمحي بجاهك في المعاد جرائمه

    If the Most Merciful does not show him mercy,

    Who can reach him but you, most merciful of the merciful?

  45. ان لم تصل عَبد الرَحيم برحمة

    من ذاك واصله سواك وَراحمه

    So spread your wing, son of Amina, over him

    And over whoever befriends and supports him.

  46. فاِخفض جناحك يا ابن آمنة له

    ولمن يَليه مودة وَيلائمه

    And hear my praise and glad tidings

    Of what its composer and arranger said of you.

  47. وتلق مَدحي بالبشارة واِستَمِع

    ما قالَ ناثره عليك وَناظمه

    So pride itself is proud of you, and through you

    Munificence itself is made generous, its clouds overflowing.

  48. فالفخر مفتخر وَفيك فخاره

    وَالجود مَوجود منك غمائمه

    May Allah bless you whenever the breeze blows

    From the gardens of Najd or breaths of the zephyr waft.

  49. وَعليك صَلى اللَه ما هب الصبا

    برياح نجد أو نسمن نسائمه

    And bless all your Household and Companions whenever

    My dove cooed in the trees of al-Arak.

  50. وَعَلى جَميع الآل والاصحاب ما

    سجعت بأيمن ذي الاراك حمائمه
