1. هي العيس نوليها الحَنين فَتَسعَد

    وَنزجرها نحو الحَبيب فتصعد

    She yearns for love, so we excite her longing,

    And urge her towards the beloved, so she ascends

  2. يذكرها الحادي بجيرة طيبة

    فَيأخذها شوق مقيم ومقعد

    The wanderer reminds her of a good neighbor,

    So she is seized by lasting, settled longing

  3. وان سمعت سجع الحمام تذكرت

    بسلع حمامات تبيت تغرد

    And if she hears the cooing of a dove, she remembers

    The markets where doves roost chirping at night

  4. وان وقدت نار بأحد تبلدرت

    اليهاوَفي أَحشائها النار توقد

    And if she lights a fire in a settled place,

    The fire within her is kindled and ignited

  5. فَلا تذكرا يا صاحبي لها الحمى

    وَلا جيرة فَلو الغوير فأنجدوا

    So do not, my friends, speak to her of ardour

    Or a neighbor, even if eloquent and helpful

  6. وَلكن عداها بالحجاز واحمد

    فماقصدها الا الحجاز وَأَحمد

    But mention to her only Hejaz and Ahmad

    For her goal is only Hejaz and Ahmad

  7. سرت فرأت من نحو بدر عَلى الربا

    طَلائع بدرنوره يتصعد

    She set out and from towards Badr she saw

    The vanguards of the full moon rising up

  8. وَدانَت ثنيات الوداع فَهاجَها

    نَسيم حجازى يهب وَيركد

    The twisting valleys of parting excited her

    When a Hejazi breeze blew, settling and stirring

  9. لعل نَسيم الريح يَهدي تَحيَتي

    الى من له عن أَيمن العرش مقعد

    Perhaps the wind will convey my greetings

    To the one whose place is to the right of the Throne

  10. فيقرئه مني السَلام مكررا

    فخيرالتَحيّات السَلام المردد

    And he may convey my repeated greetings

    For the best greetings are repeated peace

  11. نَبي له جود ومجد مؤثل

    وَجاه وَتَمكين مكين وَسودد

    A prophet of generosity, glory and honor

    Greatness, strength, firmness and darkness dispelled

  12. عَلى حبه بستمسك الطير في الهَوا

    وَتَهبط أَملاك السماء وَتصعد

    Happy is that full moon, so noble is his worth

    Given such strengthening that will never run out

  13. وَيَهتَز ريحان القلوب لذكره

    اذا ذكر اِرتاحَت قلوب وأكبد

    His name was derived from some letters of His name

    So the Lord of the Throne is Praised and this is Muhammad

  14. وَذَلِكَ من أوتى النبوّة أَولا

    وآدم بين الماء وَالطين مفرد

    He is called alongside the names of angels and the Most High

    For he is the highest, purest and most glorious

  15. فَكانَ له في العرش سبق وَرفعَة

    وَكانَ له في الارض بعث ومولد

    And he is mentioned in the declarations alongside his Lord

    And if the call to prayer says "I bear witness, I bear witness"

  16. هَنيئا لِذاكَ البدر شرف قدره

    وأعطى من التَمكين ما لَيسَ ينفد

    He surpasses angels and messengers in rank

    For he is the master of angels and messengers

  17. وَشق اسمه من أَحرف اسم الهه

    فَذو العرش محمود وَهَذا محمد

    None but him scales the heights of superiority

    Nor beneath the Throne does any but Allah prostrate

  18. يُنادي باسماء المَلائك وَالعُلا

    عَلى أَنَّه أَعلى وَأَزكى وَأَمجَد

    A prophet who came while people were in ignorance

    Worshipping idols spread over the land

  19. وَيذكر في التَهليل مَع ذكر ربه

    وان قيل في التأذين أَشهد أَشهَد

    He called to monotheism with the sword

    To Allah, for he is the Decisive, the Unifier

  20. وَيَعلو عَلى الاملاك وَالرسل رفعة

    فَها هوَ للاملاك وَالرسل سيد

    He calmed the raging sea of polytheism

    When its waves foamed and overflowed against its people

  21. فَلا غيره في الفضل يَختَرِق العلى

    وَلا تحت ساق العرش لِلَّه يسجد

    And he left the quarter of the polytheists

    Condemning what they disobeyed and rebelled against

  22. نَبي أَتى وَالناس في جاهلية

    من الدين والاصنام في الارض تعبد

    Birds roam and return to their nests

    While his swords in them flash and are sheathed

  23. فَقامَ عَلى التَوحيد بالسَيف داعيا

    الى اللَه فهو الهامشمي الموحد

    His signs are eloquent miracles

    And his banners of victory and triumph are tied

  24. وَغيض بحر الشرك حين تَلاطَمَت

    عَلى أَهله أَمواجه وَهو مزبد

    For that is the light of God in every direction

    The polished, sharpened, cutting sword

  25. وَغادرَ حي المُشركين بلاقعا

    منكرة لما عصوا وَتَمَردوا

    His war booty is pilgrimage and Mecca is his Qibla

    Dirt is pure and the land is a mosque for him

  26. تَروح وَتَغدو الطير في عرصاتها

    وأَسيافه فيهم تسل وَتغمد

    And how many miracles and special qualities he has

    Witnessed above the heavens in his station

  27. فآياته بالمعجزات نواطق

    وَراياته بالفتح وَالنصر تعقد

    I boasted of the Messenger of God's glories

    And I praised God, improvising poetry

  28. فَذَلك نور اللَه في كل وجهة

    من الارض وَالسيف الصقيل المهند

    And I said, perhaps God will erase my sins through him

    And Ibn Masood the negligent may find bliss

  29. غَنائمه جل وَمكة قبلة

    له وَالطهور الترب والارض مسجد

    We hope for you in both abodes, O guide to righteousness

    For you are a guide and mentor in both abodes

  30. وَكَم من كَرامات له وَخَصائص

    لمشهدها فوق السموات مشهد

    Please overlook our stumbles, though we take pride in prophets

    For you are the most clement and generous of people

  31. مدحت رَسول اللَه مفتخراته

    وَقمت بحمد اللَه انشي وانشد

    We do not hope for a master other than you, knowing

    That you exist, while others are lost

  32. وَقلت لعل اللَه يَمحو جَرائمي

    به وابن مسعود المقصر يسعد

    The letters came to you, though jumbled

    They seemed like random letters, yet a precious pearl

  33. رَجَوناكَ في الدارين يا علم الهدى

    لانك في الدارين هاد وَمرشد

    Their speaker is Abdurraheem son of Ahmad

    May he through praising you find praise

  34. اقل عَثَرات ان بناز من نبا

    فأَنتَ ابر الناس قَلبا واجود

    So fulfill my hopes in you, O ultimate wish

    And say "You will dwell forever in the Gardens"

  35. وَلا نرتجي مَولى سواكَ لعلمنا

    بانك موجود وغيرك يفقد

    And do not dismiss the poor man, despite his good opinion

    Far be it from you to disappoint one who hopes

  36. اتتك مَع النيابَتين حروفها

    تخال حروفا وَهي در منضد

    How can one who sins fear his sin

    When your forgiveness, my Master, awaits sins

  37. وَقائلها عَبد الرَحيم بن أَحمَد

    عَسى انه في نظم مدحك يحمد

    So permit me to visit, though I walk in shackles of sin

    My sins have kept me away, and my staying has been prolonged

  38. فحقق رَجائي فيك يا غايَة المنى

    وقل أَنتَ منافي الجنان مخلد

    Death is not hoped for, nor is life blissful

    So woe is me, O best of those who walked the earth

  39. وَلا تطرد المسكين مع حسن ظنه

    فَحاشا علاكم ان يرجى ويطرد

    If I have no promised time between me and you

    Peace be upon you eternally, with blessed

  40. وَكَيفَ يخافَ الذنب كل مقصر

    وَعَفوك يا مَولاي للذنب مرصد

    And ever-renewed hand, for all time

  41. فَهَل منك اذن في الزيارة انني

    اسير باغلال الذنوب مقيد

  42. بعدت بزلاتي وَطالَت اقامتي

    فَلا المَوت مأمول وَلا العمر مسعد

  43. فَواحَسرَتي يا خير من وطىء الثرى

    اذا لَم يكن بَيني وَبينك موعد

  44. عليك سَلام لا بيد مبارك

    جَديد عَلى مر الجديدين سرمد
