1. جَعْدَةُ بَكِّيةِ وَلاَ تَسْأمِي

    بَعْدَ بُكَاءِ المُعْوِلِ الثَّاكِلِ

    With unkempt hair weeping endlessly

    After the wailing of the bereaved mother

  2. عَلَى ابْنِ بِنْتِ الطَّاهِرِ المُصطَفَى

    وابْنِ ابْنِ عَمّ المُصْطَفَى الفَاضِلِ

    For the son of the daughter of the Chosen One

    And the son of the cousin of the Excellent Chosen One

  3. لَمْ يَسَلِ السُّم عَلَى مِثْلِهِ

    فِي الأرضِ مِنْ حَافٍ وَمِنْ نَاعِلِ

    Poison did not flow to his like

    On earth, from a snake or a sand viper

  4. كَانَ إذَا شُبَّتْ لَهُ نَارُهُ

    يَرْفَعُهَا بِالسَّيِّدِ الْقَاتِلِ

    Whenever its fire was kindled for him

    He would lift it with the killer master

  5. كَيْمَا يَرَاهَا بَائسٌ مُرْمِلٌ

    أوْ فَرْدُ قَوْمِ لَيْسَ بِالآهِلِ

    So that a suffering, destitute person would see it

    Or an individual whose tribe was not empty

  6. يُغلِي بَنِي اللَّحْمِ حَتَّى إذا

    أنْضِجَ لَمْ يُغْلِ عَلى آكِلِ

    He would boil the sons of flesh until when

    He sufficiently cooked, he did not overcook for the eater

  7. أَعْنِي الَّذِي أسْلَمَنَا هُلْكُهُ

    لِلزَّمَنِ الْمُسْتَخْرِجِ المْاحِلِ

    I mean the one whose loss

    We surrendered to the extracting, vanishing time
