ما وقفتك بين الجراف وسعوان

ولفتتك بين الغراس وزجان

I did not stop you between al-Jiraf and Sae'wan

And wrap you between the trees and Zajan

إلا ولك جربه بأرض ذهبان

وشر شريمك قبل كنس الاجران

Except that you have experience in the land of Dhahban

And the evil of your evildoer before the brooms of Al-Ajran

وشرف الجربه بخيس قامه

وابكر إليها الصبح بالسلامه

And the honor of experience with a despised body

And the dawn greets it early in the morning

وادهن شراكك واحزق القدامه

وانذر بتلمين لاحمد بن علوان

And grease your stirrups and deflate the front

And warn of softening, no Ahmad bin Alwan

واذرا شعير أسود وبر بوني

والا ذره بيضا غرب وبيني

And sow black barley and white wheat

Or white wheat, west and between me

وشد حيلك يا سعيد سنيني

وهندي المفرس قد ابن شعبان

And do your best, O Sa’eed, my years

And Al-Mufrid the Indian, Ibn Sha’ban

ولا تكيسل يا سعيد لك القوم

وادلج إلى الحربه من اول اليوم

And do not be lazy, O Sa’eed, for you are the people

And enter the war from the beginning of the day

وتلحقك جفنه ملانها زوم

مصعتره فيها لذيذ الالبان

And a sleepy eyelid filled with bubbles

Sweetened in it the delicious milk

واحمى وأحرس ما ذريت في الفيش

ولا تولى في الظلام من الجيش

And protect and guard what you have sown in the Faisal

And do not retreat into the darkness of the army

فهو شهيد من قد قتل على العيش

فاسمع هديت الرشد يا بن خولان

For he is a martyr who was killed for a living

So listen to the guidance of righteousness, O Ibn Kholan

فانت تعرف شدة البهايم

وعندك النواق غنى الحمايم

For you know the severity of animals

And you have the she-camels, rich in protection

وانت سميت العصيد دعايم

وأنت عارف بالهريش ألوان

And you named the porridge slogans

And you know the many colors of silk

وادعى مجمل للغدا وهادى

وقل لمفلح لا يجيش غادي

And call on Majmal for tomorrow and Hadi

And tell Mufleh not to lead Ghadi

لان قد بطنه سفال وادى

ما يرقعه الا كباش جهران

Because his belly is already in the valley

It cannot be repaired but by the rams of Jahran
