يقول الجعدبي حق ابن زايد

مساعد هو حضر حرب ابن ردمان

Al-Ja'dabi says about Ibn Zayed

He is the helper who attended the war of Ibn Radman

سقى الله يوم خرجناهج واحد

ودغمرنا على قيفه وسنحان

May Allah water the day we took out the one

And we flooded over Qayfah and Sanhan

وناصلنا الجهادم بالمعارد

بقا الهارب إلى ريده وذيفان

And we continued jihad with spears

The fugitive remained to his refuge and Zayfan

خرجنا الفين حلين السواعد

بنجري في العوارض جرى سرحان

We went out two thousand strong armed

Running in the heights like running deer

وحطينا المفارس والمعاود

كما أن الحاضيه ناموس الانسان

And we descended knights and spearmen

As snakes descend on human settlements

وشلينا البيارق حق حاشد

وبيتنا الكسيره بيت مران

And we lowered the flags of the Haashed

And spent the night in the house of Marran

وهد الله صلاح شيخ المساجد

نهب بندق على سعد بن قعسان

And Allah guided the righteousness of the Sheikh of the Mosques

He raided with a gun on Saad bin Qaisan

ومفتاح وابن ملخج وابن راشد

بقوا يتعاكروا في وسط مجران

And Miftah and Ibn Mulkhaj and Ibn Rashid

Remained skirmishing in the middle of Mujarran

وناس انحط الى محروس زاجد

وناس جاله كذا وامسى بسيان

And some people descended to Mahrous Zajid

And some reached Kaza and spent the night in Sayyan

وسندنا بني الحارث مساند

وعاودنا العشى من باب جربان

And we supported the clan of Al-Harith as supporters

And returned in the evening from the door of Jarban

وتسمع قطقطة مثل الرواعد

بنادق قدلها من عهد عثمان

And you hear the thunder crack like thunder

With rifles since the time of Othman

ومعصار لا تقل قد صار زاهد

بذا المعصر تعسى قبل شعبان

And a juicer no less has become devout

With this juicer you crush before Shaban

وقد لفلف يجي ستين وفارد

من اطراف الحليله وأهل سهمان

And he rolled in, sixty horsemen

From the outskirts of Hulaylah and the people of Suhman

وجاشيخ القذف مثل ام قالد

تجاهه لا تقل خمسة بعيدان

And the archers like Um Qald

Facing them no less than five spear throws

ولي طير غدا والحرب هامد

وقع له بندقين من حق حسان

And I have birds tomorrow and the war has subsided

He fell with two rifles from Haq Hasan

وزاغفنا رصاص والله شاهد

وترينا شويط واصحاب طشان

And we poured lead, and Allah is a witness

And we saw Shuwaid and the people of Tashan

ومكنا ابن حنظل لقف بارد

وقال نخلف على قوم ابن قملان

And we enabled Ibn Hanthal to grab cold

And Nakhlef said about the people of Ibn Qamlam

وخلينا المطارح سيل وارد

وترينا جدر واصحاب شعلان

And we left the fallen like a pouring flood

And we saw walls and the people of Sha'lan

وخلينا هزم كله فدافد

وأودا بعدنا مفلح وجبران

And we left the defeat altogether redeeming

And later came Miflih and Jabran

وفوق الكحلى مرديف جامد

وقد ذاله معه من نهب خولان

And above Al-Kahla a frozen torrent

Which had dissolved with it the looting of Khuwan

تعسكرنا وعاد الدم راقد

وعاد العسكره قبلا لها شأن

We camped and the blood settled down

And the army returned gloriously

وكانت بندقي سبعه وزايد

رصاصتها تولى فج عطان

And my rifle was seven and Zayed

Its bullets turn away the cliffs of Aatan

وبه باروت معي من شغل خالد

تراه كله مجلجل روس ذبان

And with it gunpowder from the work of Khalid

You see it all turbulent like the heads of snakes

وعادك يا سعيد معصار حاقد

بعزقة صاحب الحزه وسعوان

And you, O Sa'eed, have a spiteful juicer

With the heel of the owner of Al-Hizah and Sua'an

ويافع أطلعوا فينا قصايد

وجوب من قد انا سعد شملان

And O Yafi they composed poems about us
