لَوْ يَعْبُدُ النَّاسُ يَا مَهْديُّ أَفْضَلَهُمْ

مَا كانَ فِي النَّاسِ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ مَعْبُودُ

If people worshipped the best among them, O Mahdi

None would be worshipped but you.

أضْحَتْ يَمِينُكَ مِنْ جُودٍ مُصَوَّرَةً

لاَ بَلْ يَمِينُكَ مِنْها صُوِّرَ الجُودُ

Your generosity has become legendary -

Nay, legend itself is modeled after your generosity.

مِنْ حُسْنِ وَجْهِكَ تُضْحى الأرضُ مُشْرِقَةً

وَمِنْ بَنَانِكَ يَجْري المَاءُ في العُودِ

The earth glows radiant from the beauty of your face,

And water flows in rivers from your elegance.

لَوْ أَنَّ مِنْ نُورِهِ مِثْقَالَ خَرْدَلَةٍ

فِي السُّودِ طُرّاً إذاً لاَبْيَضَّتِ السُّودُ

If but a mustard seed of your light

Were cast upon the black, the black would whiten.
