Shall I ever say one day in my life
To some merchants, "You have ruined my wealth"?
Or shall you see me say, "From where did
All this barley for my animals come"?
Or shall you see me say, "O my servant,
Ask my blessed boy about my camels"?
Or shall you see me pass above a porch
That's too high for a session that's so high?
"Saddle my beasts," and they saddle them,
Then I say, "Remove the saddles, that's enough."
This is nonsense, as you see, and excess,
Endlessly chewing on the impossibles.
