قُومُوا إِلَى الدَّارِ مِن لَيلى نُحَيِّيهَا

نَعَم ونَسأَلَهُم عَن بَعضِ أهلِيهَا

إنَّ السَّلاَمَة مِن سَعدَى حضارتِهَا

أَن لاَ تحل عَلَى حَالٍ بِوَادِيهَا

Indeed, safety from Su‘da, when she is near at hand,

lies in never alighting, under any circumstances, in her valley.
