1. Indeed, Abu Ghanim, Humayd,

    Is rain pouring upon those who seek his bounty.

  2. God fashioned him into a sword of death,

    And a gate of sustenance for humankind.

  3. O defender of the land with tall spears,

    And of the plentiful, great herds:

  4. None is sheltered from harm

    Who is not under your protection.

  5. And never have I attempted a description of you

    But you have outstripped it ahead of me.

  6. For noble qualities have reached their utmost in you,

    And the span of speech has come to an end.

  7. Renew one month and wear another out,

    And remain safe through the ages for a thousand years.
