Slow down, oh sons of our uncle, slow down, oh our dear ones

Do not dig up between us what has been buried

Slow down, oh sons of our uncle, from carving up our statues

Walk slowly as you used to walk with us

Do not be greedy to humiliate us while we honor you

And that we restrain harm from you while you harm us

God knows that we do not love you

And we do not blame you for not loving us

Everyone has an intention in hating his companion

By God's grace we endure you and you endure us
