يا أزمة انفرجي فالظلم قد زادا

والبغى عم وقد صار الأذى زادا

O crisis, relieve me, for oppression has increased

And evil has become widespread, and harm has become provision

والعدل ولى وحل الجور موضعه

والغدر بعد اشتداد الضعف قد سادا

And justice has gone, and tyranny has taken its place

And betrayal has prevailed after weakness has intensified

أما النفاق فقد راجت تجارته

والحق أصبح في الأحداث أوكادا

As for hypocrisy, its trade has flourished

And truth has become in events, nearly extinct

والحقد والحسد الممقوت صاحبه

عم الأنام جماعات وآحادا

And hatred and contemptible envy of its companion

Has spread among all people, groups and individuals

ختل وخدع وعدوان وتفرقة

بين القلوب فصار الكل أضدادا

Deceit, fraud, aggression and division

Among hearts, so everyone has become adversaries

أغراض كل إذا فكرت سافلة

حتى غدوا بعد لم الشمل أفرادا

Every goal, if you think about it, is despicable

Until after unity, they have become separate individuals

يا أيها الخل لا ىلوك معذرة

إن كنت للنفس والأهواء منقادا

O vinegar, you have no excuse

If you were led by the self and passions

فالناس قد أصبحوا في سعيهم شيعا

والكل عن منهج افنصاف قد حادا

So people in their endeavors have become factions

And all have deviated from the path of justice

يلقاك بالبشر مسرورا ومبتسما

ولكن الصدر منه فاض أحقادا

You find them cheerful and smiling

But their hearts are overflowing with grudges

حتى تولت وماتت كل عاطفة

منهم فمنهم رصين الطود قد مادا

To the point affection has died in them

So they have become like firm mountains

فهم ذئاب بمرعى الضأن قد ضربوا

بل صيرتهم نفوس الشح آسادا

They are wolves in sheep's clothing

Rather, their souls have made them lions

من حرصهم وانحطاط النفس رائدهم

قدفتتوا من قلوب الكل أكبادا

Due to their greed and baseness of spirit being their guide

They have lost the hearts of all people

ففرّج الكرب يا مولاي من كرم

واجعل عبادك للمعروف روادا

So relieve this anguish, my Master, in your generosity

And make Your servants inclined towards good

والطف فإن قلوب الناس قد فسدت

وألحدوا في طريق الحق إلحادا

And be gentle, for people's hearts have been corrupted

And deviated on the path of truth into disbelief

لذا اتخذت رسول الله ملتجئ

خير التبيين من للذين قد شادا

Therefore, I have taken the Messenger of God as my refuge

The best of creations, who called to the truth

نور الوجود وسر السر من أزل

عين العيون ومن بالحق قد نادى

The light of existence and secret of secrets from eternity

Eye of eyes and who called to the truth

مطهر الكون من رجس ومن دنس

فطهره عمّ أرواحا وأجسادا

Purifier of the universe from filth and impurity

So it spread to souls and bodies

دعا إلى الله بالدين القويم ومن

إلى الرشاد دعا يزداد إرشادا

Calling to God with the upright religion, and whoever

He called to guidance, increased in guidance

فأظهر الحق يزهو وجه طلعته

وأخمد الشرك والطغيان إخمادا

So he made the truth shine, and its face glowed

And extinguished polytheism and tyranny decisively

ورد بالكبر والإغضاء دعوته

قوم قد اتخذوا لله أندادا

And with arrogance and turning away, his call was rejected

By people who took gods besides God

فأعمل السيف فيهم بعد دعوتهم

وأوقد الحرب في الأعداء إيقادا

So he wielded the sword against them after calling them

And ignited war against the enemies

وسورة الفتح قد جاءت مبشرة

بعزّة النصر إرغاما لمن كادا

And Surat Al-Fath came giving glad tidings

Of the honour of victory, subjugating those who plotted

فانصاع قوم وقوم عاندوا وعتوا

فأبعدوا عن طريق الحق إبعادا

So a people yielded, while others stubbornly resisted

Thus they were distanced from the path of truth

حتى استبانوا طريق الحق واضحة

فأذعن الكل أجنادا وقوّادا

Until the path of truth became clear to them

So all soldiers and leaders submitted

هذا النبي به الأكوان قد شرفت

ومنه نالت بفضل الله إسعادا

This Prophet, through whom the universe was ennobled

And through his grace, attained felicity

من وجهه المشرق الوضاح قد محيت

آي الضلال وجيش الشرك قد بادا

Through his radiant and brilliant face

The signs of misguidance and the army of polytheists were erased

في دينه الناس افواجا لقد دخلوا

فأصبحوا لجيمع الكون أسيادا

Masses of people entered his religion

And became masters of the whole universe

والآل والصحب والأنصار قد ضربوا

لقبة الدين في الآفاق أوتادا

And his Family, Companions and Helpers

Set up the tent of religion in the horizons as pegs

حتى تمكن واشتدت دعائمه

وصارت الناس للديان عبادا

Until it was firmly established and its pillars strengthened

And people became worshipers of the Almighty

في حبّ خير الورى قاموا على قدم

تخالهم في مجال الحرب آسادا

They stood firmly in love of the best of creations

Imagining them in the arena of war as lions

فما استكانوا لدى الهيجا وما ضعقوا

بل أغمدوا السيف في الأعداء إغمادا

Never showing weakness to calamity, nor wavering

Rather, sheathing the sword in the enemies decisively

وما ونوا في امتثال الأمر أو وهنوا

يوما ولا أردوا في الأمر إروادا

Never hesitating in obeying commands or showing frailty

Or intending to delay in the matter

وكل غال لديهم صار مرتخصا

فالكل بالنفس والأموال قد جادا

And everything precious became cheap to them

So they all generously gave themselves and their wealth

فأخضعوا الكل من عرب ومن عجم

من بعدما الكل للإسلام قد عادى

Until they humbled all Arabs and non-Arabs

After all had shown enmity towards Islam

دين قويم وشرح كله حكم

الذهن يدركه إن كان وقادا

An upright religion, all of which is wise

The mind comprehends it if it is led

كم معجزات لخير الخلق قد ظهرت

في الكون قد سبقت حملا وميلادا

How many miracles appeared for the best of creations

In the universe, preceding his conception and birth

كانت كشمس الضحى في الكون مشرقة

فاقت نجوم السما ضوءا وتعدادا

They were like the rising sun illuminating the universe

Surpassing the stars in radiance and number

من قبل مولده كم بشرت رسل

وكم له ضربوا حدا وميعادا

Before his birth, how many messengers gave glad tidings

And how many foretold his timing and appointed time

وأنذرت قومها الرهبان قائلة

بأنّ دينهم قد زال أو كادا

And the monks warned his people saying

Their religion would soon disappear

وأن شرع رسول الله ينسخه

بمحكم الذكر آبادا وآمادا

And the law of God's Messenger would abrogate it

With the definitive remembrance, flourishing forever

لن معجزة القرآن أبلغ ما

جاءت به الرسل إحكاما وإرشادا

Indeed, the miracle of the Qur'an is most eloquent

Of what the messengers brought, in its precision and guidance

حلو المذاق له الألباب خاشعة

وأعجب الأمر إن كررته زادا

Sweet tasting, with humble minds submitting

And wondrous in its affair, if you repeat it, increases

فالإنس والجن عن إدراكه عجزوا

من ينطق الصاد أو لم ينطق الضادا

Humans and Jinn are unable to comprehend it

Whether it pronounces "Saad" or does not pronounce "Dhaad"

لأنه من حكيم جل منزله

يهدى على الرشد والاداب آمادا

Because it is from the All-Wise, Most Exalted

Guiding to righteousness and refined manners

أخلاق هذا النبي المصطفى شرفت

قدرا فاضحى إليها الكل منقادا

The morals of this chosen Prophet have ennobled

His worth, so all have become obedient to it

آباؤه السادة الأطهار قد شرفوا

أصلا وفرعا فنعم القوم أجدادا

His pure forefathers have been honoured

In lineage and branch, so excellent are these ancestors

وجوههم بالهدى والفضل مشرقة

فكل هدى إليهم في الورى هادا

Their faces shining with guidance and virtue

So all guidance in the world leads back to them

وكل مجد وذى مجد لهم تبعٌ

إذ صيرتهم صفات المجد أمجادا

And all glory and possessor of glory is their follower

Since their traits have made them glories

لله من أنبجوا لله من ولدوا

هذا هو الفرد لكن فاق أعدادا

Praise be to God for producing for God

This singular one, yet surpassing all in excellence

يا سيد الرسل مدحى فيك يطربني

ويشرح الصدر إنشاء وإنشادا

O master of messengers, praising you brings me joy

And gladdens my heart, composing and reciting

فاجعل جزائي على مدحيك من كرم

حسن الرعاية إسعافا وإسعادا

So make my reward for praising you, out of generosity

Good care, relief and felicity

ورد عني يد الحساد إذ نصبوا

لي العداء فبئس القوم حسادا

And ward off the hand of enviers when they set up

Enmity against me, for they are wretched enviers

ورد عني يد الحساد إذ نصبوا

لي العداء فبئس القوم حسادا

وذد بجاهك عني كل حادثة

يا خير من عن حياض الحق قد ذادا

And protect me through your stature from every calamity

O best of those who have spread good and abundance

للغدر والحرب والعدوان قد جنحوا

وأصبحوا عن سبيل السلم صدادا

They have inclined towards betrayal and war

And deviated from the path of peace, becoming cutthroats

في السر شر وإن وافيت مجلسهم

سمعت نصحا وأذكارا وأورادا

Evil in secret, yet if you attend their gathering

You hear advice, invocations and litanies

من شدة الذم في الدنيا وزخرفها

تخالهم في اقتناء المال زهّادا

Censuring the world and its vanities intensely

You would think them ascetics in acquiring wealth

يتلون في الزهد آي الذكر محكمة

كالهر يتلو بترتيل ليصطادا

Reciting the definitive verses of the Qur'an

Like a snake reciting with melody in order to catch prey

من لي سواك رسول الله ينقذني

من معشر ركبوا للغدر منطادا

Who do I have besides you, O Messenger of God, to save me

From a band who have ridden towards betrayal

ثغورهم بثنايا الأنس باسمة

لكنهم ملئوا غلا وأحقادا

Their throats are adorned with hypocrisy

But they are full of rancour and grudges

يا صابح القبة الخضراء قد جذبت

للغوث والغيث زوارا وقصادا

O illuminator of the Green Dome, you have attracted

Visitors and pilgrims seeking succour and rain

إنى محبك والمحبوب في سعة

من العناية إن ناجاك أو نادى

I am your lover, and the beloved is generous

In caring, whether one whispers to You or calls

فأنت جاهى ومنجاتي ومدخري

تعطى الجزيل لمن وافاك مرتادا

You are my pride, my savior and my reserve

Bestowing abundantly to those who come to You

فانظر إلي وأجزل في العطا صلتي

واجعل لروحي وجسمي منك أمدادا

So look upon me and be generous in Your connection

And make for my spirit and body, aid from You

فأنت والآل عندي خير واسطة

ارصدتكم لابتغاء الخير إرصادا

You and Your Family are the best intermediaries for me

I have lain in wait seeking goodness through You

وعمك الحمزة الكرار من شهدت

له المشاهد أغوارا وأنجادا

And Your uncle Hamzah the noble, whose gallantry

The battlefields have witnessed in their depths

والصحب والصهر والأنصار قاطبة

فمن حديثك فيهم صح إسنادا

And the Companions, in-laws and Helpers altogether

So whoever's narration of them is authentic in chain

فأنت معهم وحق الحق مدخري

إن عاند الدهر بالعدوان أو عادى

You are with them, and by the Haqq, my reserve

If the times treat with hostility or enmity

يا خير من بالندى يمناه قد بسطت

وأرفد الخير للزوار إرفادا

O best of those who have spread good and abundance

And provided goodness for visitors abundantly

أيام زرتك قد كانت وحقك في

نهاية العز أفراحا وأعيادا

The days I visited You were, by Your right,

Ultimate honour and celebrations

متى تعود فإن عادت بطيبة لي

مرغت في تربها الخدين تعدادا

When will You return, for if Your return brings goodness for me

I will rub my cheeks in Your soil, counting them

وقلت جودك مأمولى ومطلبي

فكم بجودك قد قلدت أجيادا

And I said Your generosity is my hope and pursuit

For with Your generosity you have granted many gifts

وكن شفيعا إذا ما الصحف قد نشرت

ولم أجد لي بها قدمت لي زادا

And be my intercessor when the records are unfurled

And I do not find in them provisions I forwarded

يوم تطيش به الألباب من فزع

إذ أصبح الجسم والأعضاء شهادا

On the Day intellects are confused with fear

When bodies and limbs fall as witnesses

وجىء يومئذ بالنار صالية

منها يرى الكل أغلالا وأصفادا

And Hellfire is brought, blazing,

From which all will see shackles and chains

فليس لي من شفيع قط أتبعه

سوى جنابك في الدارين مرتادا

I have no intercessor to follow after

Except You, in both abodes frequented

صلى عليك إله العرش ما سجعت

ورق الحمى أو علت في الدواح أعوادا

May the God of the Throne send blessings upon You, for as long

As the ink flows or wood is erected on camel litters

والآل والصحب والأتباع قاطبة

وكل من لجيوش النصر قد قادا

And upon Your Family, Companions and followers altogether

And all who led the armies of victory
