قولُ عليٍّ لحارثٍ عَجبٌ

كَمْ ثَمَّ أعجوبة له جُمَلا

Ali's words to Harith are wondrous

How many wonders in his sentences

يا حارِ همدانَ من يَمُتْ يَرني

من مؤمنٍ كان أو منافقٍ قَبِلا

O Harith the praiser, whoever dies will see me

Whether a believer or a hypocrite before

يَعرِفُني طَرفُهُ وأعرِفُهُ

بعينِهِ واسمِه وما فَعلا

His eyes will recognize me and I will recognize him

By his eyes, name and what he has done

وأنتَ عندَ السراطِ تَعرفُني

فلا تَخفْ عَثرةً ولا زَلَلا

And you at the Path will recognize me

So do not fear stumbling or straying

أسقيكَ من باردٍ على ظمإ

تَخالُه في الحلاوةِ العَسلا

I will quench your thirst from a cool drink

You will think it as sweet as honey

أقولُ للنارِ حين تُوقَفُ للعَرْ

ضِ على جِسرها ذَري الرَّجُلا

I will say to the fire when it is halted for judgement

On its bridge the progeny of men

ذَريه لا تَقربيه إن له

حَبلاً بحَبلِ الوَحِيِّ مُتَّصِلا

Do not go near him, for he has

A rope connected to the rope of Revelation

هذا لنا شيعةٌ وشيعَتُنا

أعطانَي اللهُ فيهمُ الأمَلا

These are for us a party, and our party

God has given me hope through them
