أَكرم بِهَذا البَيت بَيت مَكارم

أَنشاه صاحبه بِحُسن تَجمل

Honor this house, a house of honor,

Erected by its owner with beautiful embellishment.

وَبِناءه مُذ تَمَ قُلت مُؤرِخاً

حفني لَهُ كَرَم بِهَذا المَنزل

And since its completion I have said, recording its date,

“A noble man has protected me in this dwelling.”
