اليَوم وافى لِهَذا العيد إِيناس

في ظل عَباس مَن تَزهو بِهِ الناس

Today this feast has arrived, a time of joy

In the shade of Abbas, whom people delight in

وَأَقبل العيد مَسروراً بِطَلعته

وَكَم سَعَت لعلى التَشريف أَجناس

And the feast arrived happily with its rising

As many races hastened to its honoring

عيد عَلى سائر الأَعياد مُفتَخر

لِأَن طَلعَتهُ لِلنَصر نِبراس

A feast proud over all other feasts

For its dawn was a torch of victory

عيد لَهُ بِخديوي مَصر تَهنئة

وَيَوم تَشريفه لِلأُنس مِقياس

A feast congratulated by Egypt’s Khedive

And the day of its honor is the measure of joy

وَبَهجة الأُنس قَد قالَت مُؤرخة

لِلعيد عز خديوي مَصر عَباس

And the joy of companionship has chronicled

For the feast the might of Egypt’s Khedive Abbas
