The zephyr of the meadows of Arac and the living Hind,

A lover languishing, and confidant of passion,

Lightning stirred him, so he yearned,

For a mouthful from the red lips of Hind.

I became drunk from her charms,

Her tender and rosy cheeks make me tipsy and ecstatic.

She is veiled, but in my conscience,

Is the place where my love was born and nurtured.

The memory of her beauty bears witness to perfection,

Its description is beyond any limit.

When her smile reveals a string of pearls,

I embrace it and scatter all my pearls.

I pass the night sleepless, so do not ask,

About the life of a lover, after disdain and separation.
