هَاكَ قَلْبِ فَسِرْ بِهِ

لِلحْمِىَ دُونَ سَرْبهِ

There is a heart, so interpret it

For the zealous without confusing it

فَلَكَمْ فِي خَيَامِهِ

مِنْ فَقِيدٍ لِقَلْبِهِ

So for how many in his tents

Is it a loss of his heart

وَتَعرَّضْ بِذَى النَّقَا

لِلصِّبَا فيِ مَهَبِّهِ

And exposed to the harm of time

To youth in its exuberance

فَهْوَ نَشْرٌ مُعَطَّرٌ

بِشَذَا نَشْرِ عُرْبِهِ

It is a fragrant spread

With the aroma of its Arabness

وَإِذَا مَا دَعَاكَ

دَاعِي هَوَاهُمْ فَلَبِّهِ

And if the caller of their passion

Calls you, then answer his call
